Me and Kaneki got to go to the beach today. He's been a little pint up about school and ghoul things. So, I thought bringing him to the beach would relax him a little bit. Just get him any from having to study, do homework, and CCG trying to find ghouls and kill them.

We set up our towels under a local umbrella. I laid on my stomach and he put the sunscreen on my back. He wore a swim shirt, so he didn't need the sunscreen on his back. When he got done, I sat up and he put some sunscreen on his arms and legs. I had to basically drag him to the water because he just wanted to lay on his towel and read a book.

Once we were in the water, I splashed him with some water. He gave me a mad look before he splashed me back. And it became a fight of us splashing each other. We were smiling. I'm happy I got him to smile. After a few minutes of splashing, he hugged me and pushed me under the water, he went down with me. Then we came up for air. We laughed at each other. His laughter was like music to my ears. He suddenly kissed me, I kissed him back. We were smiling in the kiss.

"Thank you." He said after we pulled away.

"For what?"

"For everything. Being my friend, staying with me when you found out I was a ghoul, and loving me."

"Anything for you." I said before I kissed him again. We stayed in the water a little longer before getting out. I went to go get myself something to eat and Kaneki stayed with our stuff. When I came back with my food, Kaneki had laid on his stomach and rested his head on him arms, and was asleep. I smiled and sat on my towel.

After I got done eating and threw my trash away, shook Kaneki in order to wake him up. He woke up after a few minutes.

"Come on, buddy. Let's go home." (A/N: please don't hurt me for using that line.)

He nodded before slowly sitting up. We got all of our stuff in the bag. And started walking home with a sunset in the background, and street lights starting to turn on.
