Kaneki's P.O.V.

I was sitting on a park bench, reading a book and enjoying the fall weather. After awhile a cat walked towards me. It was manly ginger with one brown spot on its head. It started to rub it's self against my leg.

"Where did you come from?" I said sweetly as I bent down and scratched them behind their ears. They purred in response. I closed my book and picked them up. They were very happy. Usually cats are snotty or very shy. This one was happy as can be just being around me. It's probably a stray. But I didn't care.

"Do you want to come home with me?" I asked and as if they could understand me they gave a little mew in agreement. I put my book in my bag and put the bag over my shoulder. And I carried them to my apartment. I walked in the door and I put them down. And they went to go sit on the couch. I went to my room to change into pajamas, since it was getting dark.

I walked back to the living room and sat on the couch. The cat came and laid on my lap. I petted it's head before turning on the TV for some noise. We just stayed like that for awhile. I was starting to feel tired. They let out a small yawn. I guess they were getting tired too.

"Are you getting-" I was cut off by my own yawn. I guess it was time go to bed. I gently moved them off my lap, guessing they were going to sleep on the couch. But they got up with me and walked to my room. We both laid down and got under the blanket. They snuggled up to my chest. I put a hand on their back. It's nice to have company. I've felt alone as a kid and till now. Maybe having this cat around will make me feel less lonely.

Time skip~~ morning~~

I woke up and something felt different, but not in a bad way. Where the cat was it felt like a jacket. I didn't think much about it because I'm not a morning person. And I don't process things as easily when I first wake up. I finally opened my eyes and looked around. Where the cat was, there was a guy with cat ears and a tail. He was wearing a jacket, a T-shirt, and shorts.

I instantly sat up. Which ended up in them waking up. I was blushing and they were looking up at me with a tired expansion. They sat up before saying something.

"Good morning." He said as yawned and starched his back.

"Um... Who are you?"

"I'm Hideyoshi Nagachika, call me Hide. I'm a Neko as you can see."

"So, you're the cat that I brought home yesterday?"

"Yep. Thank you for that. I just need somewhere to stay."

"Last night you were in your cat form, but now you're in your human form."

"Sometimes in my sleep I'll turn back to my other form. Which is something I probably I need to work on."

"Okay."

"Do you have any fish? I'm starving!" He said as his tail started to lightly wag, and he had a big smile. He might as well be a dog. We got up and had breakfast.
