Hide's P.O.V.

After a year of me and Kaneki being married, he got into an accident. And he become paralyzed from the waist down. I'm happy that he's alive, but we're both unhappy about his condition. I'm not unhappy that I have to take care of him, just him being unhappy makes me unhappy. And I worry about him when I'm at work because I don't know wants going at home. But he does text me every so often during work.

I was walking home from another day of work. I did go to the bookstore to get him a new book because he's at home and reads all the books we have. And he's getting bored of reading the same books over and over and over. I think he has memorized all of them by now. I got to our house and opened the front door. Once I opened the door, I saw Kaneki on the floor, struggling to get on the couch. His wheelchair was a couple feet away from the couch. He looked at me when I opened the door. I dropped the bag and rushed to him.

"Kaneki?! Are you okay? What happened?" I asked as help him onto the couch. I got him a blanket and covered his lap with it. Then I sat down next to him and held his hands.

"I had grabbed a book, but it fell out of my lap. I tried to pick it up. But it was to far away and I fell out of the wheelchair. I tried to crawl onto the couch when came home."

"Did you get hurt?"

"I don't think so."

"Don't scare me half to death when I come home."

"I didn't mean to." He said looking a little guilty.

"I know." I said as I put a hand on his cheek. "Do I get a kiss?"

"You do." He said before I leaned in and kissed him. He kissed back and grabbed my jacket with his hands, pulling me in closer. I pulled away and I picked up his legs and put them over my lap. So, I could be closer to him. I wrapped my arms around him. He wrapped his arms around me as I rested my head in the crook of his neck. He also rested his cheek on my head.

Time skip~~

Me and Kaneki have eaten dinner. Now we were watching a movie and cuddling on the couch. I turned on my phone to see the time. It was almost near our bedtime.

"Hey, you want to take a bath before going to bed?" I asked him as he looked up at me.

"Yeah."

"Alright then." I said before I got up. Then I took the blanket off of him and picked him up. He wrapped his arms around my neck as I walked to the bathroom, with him in my arms. I genuinely set him on the toilet and started to take his clothes off. Once I got all his clothes off, I picked him up again and set him in the tub. Then I started to water and made sure it was warm enough.

"Do you want clean yourself this time?" I asked.

"Yes."

"Okay, call me when you're done." I said before walking out of the bathroom, but left the door cracked opened. I took our dirty clothes hamper and went to the laundry room. I went back to the living room and picked up the dishes. Then I walked to the kitchen and started to do the dishes.

"Hide! I'm done!" I heard Kaneki say from the bathroom. I walked into the bathroom and went the tub. I picked him up and set him on the bathroom counter, before covering his privates with a towel. I drained the water before picking him up again. And brought him into our bedroom. I set him on the bed and got him a pair of boxers and pajamas.

I got him into the clothes and helped him lay down on the bed. I tucked him in before I got into my pajamas and walked back to the living room. I got his wheelchair and brought it next to out bed on his side. So, it would be there when he woke up and wanted to get out of bed. I climbed into bed and laid my head on his chest. I also put my hand on his chest. He wrapped his arms around me and kissed me on the head.

"Thank you for helping me. And staying with me after I become paralyzed."

"I would do anything for you because I love you."

"I love you too." He said before I raised my head and kissed him on the lips. I pulled away and laid my head back on his chest. And we fell asleep together.
