Sick Hide

Kaneki's P.O.V.

Hide got sick. So, I have to take care of him. Right now he's laying in bed with a fever. I'm in the kitchen making him some canned soup. Once it was done, I walked back to our room. I opened the door and saw Hide on his back. And basically he had kicked the blanket off of him. I walked to him and taped his shoulder. He opened his eyes and looked at me with a tired look.

"I made you some soup." I said. He let out a tired grunt. "Come on, you need to eat."

"Then feed it to me."

"You can feed it to yourself. You're sick but not that sick." He pouted. And after a little bit of looking at that sad face, I couldn't take it. He knows I can't stand when he looks sad. "Fine." I said before he slowly sat up and leaned against the headboard. I feed him a few spoon fulls before he held the bowel and ate the rest. When he got done I took the bowel from him and set it on the bedside table. He lad back down and laid his head on my thigh. I reached down to get the blanket and put in over him. But he took it off his upper half, so the blanket was over his waist and legs. I played with his soft hair for awhile.

"Kaneki?" He said after awhile.

"Yes?"

"Could you read me a book?"

"Why? You don't like books."

"Because my music will make my headache worse. And listening to you read is soothing."

"Are you admitting something? That you like books when I read them out loud?"

"Shut up." He said as he blushed. His face was already blushing from his fever, so he was just blushing harder.

"Okay, let me go get a book." I said before I stood up and went to a bookshelf. I picked one and sat back down on the bed. He laid his head back on my thigh and wrapped his arms around my leg, trying to keep me there. I opened up the book and started reading.

I was halfway through the book, when I realized Hide had fallen asleep. I smiled before I put the book down on the bedside table. I loosed his grip on my leg and laid down, so his head was laying on my chest. He moved a little in his sleep, but didn't wake up. I played with his hair again and kissed him on the forehead before falling asleep.
