Drunk

Hide's P.O.V.

Me and Kaneki went to a party. I don't know how, but he got drunk. We did get separated 20 minutes into it. When I finally realized he was gone and found him, he was drunk. Being the good friend I am, I drove him home and walked him to his apartment. He was hiccuping and saying 'I love you' on the way there.

"You're saying things because you're drunk." I said as I set him on his bed and I sat next to him. It hurt me that he could be saying this because he's drunk. Because I love him. But he might not want be my friend anymore if I tell him that. I rather continue to be friends with Kaneki then lose him.

"No, I mean it." He said before put his hands on my cheeks. And then he kissed me. It was a little sloppy. I just sat there wide eyed as he pulled away.

"K-Kaneki...I..." I couldn't think of any words to say. He just stared at me, with his grey eyes. I couldn't tell what emotion they were holding. But I could think of one, love. We just continued to stare at each other, until he lad his head down on my lap and passed out. I sat there for a few moments trying to make sure what happened was real. I must be blushing like crazy. Eventually I moved him so he was laying in bed. I didn't change his clothes. I tucked him in before getting a bottle of water and a pill for a headache. I set them on his bedside table along with a note.

Time skip~~ next day~~

Me and Kaneki had to go to school today. I've been keeping him close to me because I want to keep an eye on him. I went to a vending machine and got some tea for him. He was still sitting on the beach when I came back.

"Here, you probably need something else in your system." I said as I handed him the bottle. He looked up at me. He had bags under his eyes. Like he hasn't slept in days. He nodded before taking the bottle. I sat down next to him as he very slowly opened the bottle. He's a little shaky. I let him take a few sips before I asked him something.

"Do you remember last night?" He stopped for a few seconds before he hanged his head in shame and nodded.

"I-I'm sorry about that. I shouldn't have drank that much." He said before standing up and starting to walk away.

"Kaneki, wait!" I said as I ran after him and grabbed his arm. I pulled him close to me. I looked at him. He was biting his lip and had a few tears down his face. He was thinking that I was going to hate him for his true feelings towards me. "Kaneki, we just need to talk." I said before he turned around. Tears were now just running down his face.

"About what? I know you hate me. I-" He said before I cut him off with a kiss. I pushed him against a wall and put my hands on his cheeks. He put his hands on my shoulders. We continued to kiss for a few minutes before pulling away.

"Could we just give this a try?" I said.

"Y-yeah."
