This is set after Hinami's  mom's death. And Anteiku trust Hide even though he doesn't work there. Or a ghoul.

Kaneki's P.O.V.

I was laying on the couch in my apartment. I was under a blanket and crying. Why couldn't I save her? I could've done something more then keep Hinami from seeing that horrible sight.

I was just laying there and crying until there was knocking at the door.

"Come in." I said with a voice crack. I didn't care who it was at the moment. I heard the door open and close before a set on foot steps came towards me.

"I heard about what happened. And I..." I knew that voice it was Hide. But he stopped talking when I looked up at him. He saw that I was crying, my dried tears that were down my cheeks, and my eyes were red from crying. He opened his mouth to say something else, but nothing came out. I laid my head back down before he sat on the couch next to me.

"Come here." He said in a soft and caring voice. And he rubbed my shoulder. I sat up and wrapped my arms around him. He hugged back and put some of the blanket on his lap. He also put the blanket more over me. And I snuggled into his chest.

"What do you want? I'll listen." He said as he played with my hair and kissed me on the head.

"Just be here with me." I weakly said.

"Okay. Anything else?"

"To wake up with me." I said before moving so I could face him.

"I'd love to." He said before put a light kiss on my lips. I put a hand on his cheek and kissed back. We pulled away after a few minutes. And I snuggled back into his chest.

He stayed with me all night.
