Thank you guys so much for 20k reads! I really appreciate it!

This is set years after the dragon war. But chapter 125 never happened so Kaneki and Touka aren't a couple, Hide didn't lose his face, and Hide got married to a guy named Tamaki...

Hide's P.O.V.

I was walking to Kaneki's apartment with tears down my face and red eyes. Me and Tamaki had another fight and I walked out. I got to the door of Kaneki's apartment and knocked twice before putting my hands in the pockets of my hoodie. It was fall and winter was coming. Then I heard noises of things being moved before he opened the door.

"Hey, Hide. What's wrong?" He asked when he opened the door and noticed my tears. He had his short white hair and scars under his left eye and on his neck. He as wearing a grey sweater, a white button up, and brown pants. I didn't respond before hugging him around his neck. Though he was shorter then me. He didn't ask anything else before hugging me back.

"Me and Tamaki had another fight, I just need to see a friendly face right now." I said as he started to rub my back.

"Okay, I understand. You can come here anytime. You can stay the night if you want."

"Yeah, that sounds nice."

"Alright, can you close the door?" He asked before I let go of the hug.

"Yeah..." I replied before closing the door. Then I shivered and hugged myself. "Did I interrupt anything when I knocked?"

"Not really, I was just reading like usual." He said before I noticed the book on the arm of the couch, blanket on the couch, and coffee mug with still warm coffee on the side table. "Hey, come sit down. You can talk about it if you want." He said before taking my hands away from my arms and led me to the couch. We sat down before he got the blanket and wrapped it around me. He noticed I was cold, I guess. He let me lean against his shoulder.

"Tamaki is just being a big jerk. I do want to talk about what happened, but don't know how." I said.

"That's okay. You want to watch a movie?"

"Not really, but some TV wouldn't be bad."

"Okay." He said before getting the remote off the side table and turned on his TV. He flipped though the channels until he found a show he knew I liked. I didn't really pay attention and after awhile I fell asleep on his shoulder.

I woke up the next morning, still on Kaneki's couch. But Kaneki wasn't there. I had a pillow under my head, I was laying down, and my shoes were off. I sat up and put my feet on the floor, before trying to stretch my back. I looked around and saw that it was 11:30 a.m, by looking at the clock on his wall. No wonder Kaneki wasn't here, he was at work with the TSC, like I should be too. I groaned and hanged my head before standing up. I felt like I was hung over. I went to his kitchen and saw a note from Kaneki on it. I got the note of the magnet before reading it.

It said:

Good morning, Hide. Or afternoon whenever you get up. There's food and stuff for you in the fridge and cabinets, you're the only person I have human food for. But don't touch the brown paper package in the fridge, that's mine. And don't worry about work, I already called you in. I thought you needed it after how devastated you looked after you and Tamaki's fight. I'll be back by 5:30 or 6:00 and I'll bring you Big Girl too. To hopefully make you feel better.

From,
Ken Kaneki

P.S. please text me when you wake you up, and call me if you need me.

I smiled, it seems to be his turn to take care of me after how long I took care of him. I put the note on the counter before looking for something to eat. I found some strawberry pop tarts in a cabinet. I got a pack out before getting the pop tart. I just ate it cold, not feeling like heating it up at the moment. When I got done eating the pop tart, I didn't feel hungry enough to eat the other one. So, I just put it back in the box, not that Kaneki would care. Then I remembered that I had to text him when I woke up. I got my phone out of my pocket before opening up his contact.
