Let me help you (part 2)

Hide's P.O.V.

I woke up and smelled something good coming from the kitchen. I got up and starched my back. I walked out of my room and saw Kaneki making breakfast.

"Morning." I said before he jumped and almost burnt himself. Once he saw me he calmed down.

"G-good morning."

"Sorry I seared you."

"I-it's okay. I just didn't hear you wake up. And I'm very jumpy."

"What are you making?"

"E-eggs and bacon." What's with all the stuttering? He's always nervous. I know why but it's still a little strange. 

"Sounds good." I said before I went to go sit at the table. After a little bit he came back two plates and set them on the table. I started to eat but he just picked at his food, only eating a few bites. After a few moments of silence I said something.

"You need to break up with her." I said. He gulped when I said that.

"I-I know I should, but I don't think I can."

"Why? What's holding you back?"

"M-maybe what she would do to me. And if anyone would love me again." How could I almost forget what he told me?

"You're going to need to take that chance. It's either you stay in this toxic relationship or you go find someone who will truly love you."

"O-okay. I'll do that today."

"When I said you should break with her, I didn't mean today."

"But sooner the better, right?"

"You got me there." We finished eating and got ready for the day. He put on the clothes he wore yesterday. And I wore a shirt and jeans. I went with him the apartment building and waited outside. After a long time, he came out with a bag. And a slight smile on his face.

"How did it go?" I asked.

"She just let me go. No getting smacked or punched. Not even yelling. Now I just don't know where I'm going to stay."

"You can stay at my place."

"Really?"

"Yeah. Crash on my couch until you find your own place."

"Thank you."

"No problem. Now why don't we celebrate with a movie?"

"Sure." We walked back to my place and we both decided to watch Star Wars. As we were watching the movie I couldn't help but look at him. His beautiful grey eyes and black hair. I know I've never been a straight ruler. I've always liked both boys and girls. But mostly girls.

"I don't know what I'm going to do." He suddenly said. Did see me starring at him?

"You could date me." I muttered.

"What?"

"What?"

"What did you say?"

"Nothing."

"No, you said something I want to know what it was."

I was blushing and let out a sigh before saying, "Would you date me?"

"Huh?" He said blushing.

"Y-you heard me." Now I'm the stuttering one.

"I-I...uh..." He's blushing even harder now.

"It's okay if you don't see me that way."

"T-that's not it, but I will give you a chance."

"You sure?"

"Y-yeah, you helped me even though you just met me. And you gave me the motivation to get out of that relationship."

"Okay." I said before he leaned in closer. "What are you doing?"

"I don't know." He said before our lips met. You know Star Wars isn't the movie I thought I would make out with someone to. But who cares?

Days later he started getting anxiety and panic attacks. I got him to go to a therapist for it and he was given medicine. He's always open with me and I'm open with him. But I don't have as much emotional baggage as he does. We got married at the age of 30. We didn't adopt any kids. Kaneki was to scared he would do something wrong rising one. So, I didn't force him.

I would say we were pretty happy with each other.
