Hurt

Kaneki's P.O.V.

I woke up before feeling a lot of pain in my torso. I hugged myself and bit my lip to stop tears from coming out of my eyes. 'Don't cry.' I told myself. I had gotten hurt my a dove. Yomo was able to get me out without our faces being seen. I was badly hurt. Yomo bandaged up my wounds and said I would feel a lot of pain for the next few days, and he had me take several days off to recover. But I didn't know it would hurt this much.

I just laid there in pain, moving very little, and keeping tears from running down my face. I couldn't let myself cry over a little bit of pain, I've had worse done to me. After awhile, I just gave up on not crying and let out my crys. Warm tears running down my face, little hiccups, and just laying there. I didn't care anymore. It hurt, it really hurt.

I was crying so much that I didn't hear the front door of my apartment open. Then someone came to me and sat on the bed in front of me. They very gently put their hand on my shoulder. I couldn't see much with tears in my eyes, but I a blob of yellow with a little brown on the top, Hide. He wiped some of my tears away, but more tears just came running back down. Hide very gently put his arm under my head and his other arm around my waist, he was treating me like a piece of the most breakable glass.

"Shhh-shhh, it's going to be okay, sweet heart." He said before lightly kissing my forehead. I held onto his shirt and bit it, trying to stop myself from crying. But tears still ran down my face. He eventually let me go and went a bag that was next to my bedside table. He opened if what seemed like a medicine bottle and got a few pills. He got a bottle of water out of the bag too. He turned back to me with two pills in one hand and the bottle of water in the other. I gave him a confused look, the best one I could with me still crying. But I was starting to cry less.

"They're pain killers. Nishki gave them to me for you. He said you got hurt and would need them." He said before I sat up and grabbed the pills and water. And I sollwed them as fast as I could, not caring about choking. I took a few more sips of water before giving it back to Hide. Then I laid down on my back and Hide set the bottle of water on the bedside table. Hide moved some of my hair out of my eyes and wiped away a few of my tears. I wasn't crying anymore, I was just sniffling now.

"What happened for to get hurt so badly, that you were crying because of the pain?" He asked as he rubbed my shoulder.

"I had a very bad fall down the stairs." I lied, but I was still sniffling and I had my arm covering my eyes. So, he might not be able to tell I'm lying.

"I think you should go to a doctor. If you're in that much pain."

"No, I'll be fine. It was just a flight of stairs."

"Ken, you can think that. But you might be seriously hurt. Like a rub broke."

"Nothing's broken. I'm just bruised and sore."

"You're not going stop arguing with me on this, are you?" He said before I moved my arm off my eyes. And I gave he a look. He sighed before saying,"Fine, but I'm staying with you until your all better. And started keeping a closer eye on you."

"I'm okay with that." I said before he laid down next to me and rested his head on the pillow next to my head. And very gently put his arm around me. I put my hands on his arm and turned my head to face him. He had a worried look in his eyes. I kissed him the best I could and he kissed back.

"Don't fall down another flight of stairs, Mr. Clumsy." He said after he pulled away. I chuckled.

"Alright."
