Kaneki's P.O.V.

Hide got hurt as he was trying to find me. I was able to get him to help. He was in the hospital for weeks. And is was finally being let out today. I waited at the front door of the hospital, waiting on him to walk him home. Once he was out the door, I gave a very tight hug. Like I haven't seen him until now. I did sleep in the hospital for a few nights, but I wasn't able to hug him like this.

"O-okay Ken, you're going to squeeze me to death." He said after a couple minutes. I let him go and held his hands.

"You almost gave me a heart attack. I thought you were going to die." I said as a few tears ran down my face.

"But I'm here with you right now." He said as he put a hand on my cheek. And wiped my tears away. I put a hand on his and leaned into his touch. I stood on my toes and kissed him. He kissed back as he wrapped his arms around my waist.

"I love you." I said after we pulled away.

"I love you too. Now we should get going."

"Yeah, you're right." I said before we started walking down the sidewalk, holding hands as we did. "What do you want to do?" I asked after a few minutes.

"I'm hungry and want Big Girl. But I want to go home, get comfortable in bed, and sleep. Even though I've been sleeping for weeks."

"Okay. How about we get you home, get you in bed, and I'll go get you some Big Girl?"

"Yeah, that sounds good." He said before we got to our apartment. We walked inside and closed the door behind us. He went to our bedroom to go get into comfortable clothes. I walked in as he was laying down. I put the blanket over him and tucked him in.

"I'll be back soon. And then I'll lay down with you. Okay?"

"Mm-mm." He hummed in response before falling asleep. He wasn't lying when he said he was tired. I kissed him on the cheek and walked out of our apartment, but quietly so I wouldn't wake him up. I doubt that I could wake he up though. I got to Big Girl and ordered him a burger. The lady cashier flirted with me. But I told her I was already dating someone.

I walked back to the apartment with a Big Girl burger in my hand. I got back and set the bag in the fridge, so it wouldn't spoil. Then I walked into our bedroom, to see Hide still soundly sleeping. I sighed before I closed the door. I took my clothes off and got into more comfortable clothes. Then I crawled over Hide and got under the blanket. I pulled him into my chest and I wrapped my arms around him. He wrapped his arms around me. I sighed again before kissing him on the head. And I fell asleep holding him in my arms.
