Gonta Gokuhara x Reader

(Warning: HUGE SPOILERS)

Everything was blurry.. I couldn't believe what I just did. I had interfered with Gonta Gokuhara's execution by disabling the giant robotic wasp before it could touch him. It had attacked my arm in the process, but I felt numb.. The adrenaline was taking over my head. I looked over at Gonta, who was covered in stings. He stared at me in utter shock. I looked down at my arm.. I couldn't see my hand, or my arm from the elbow down. Just then, a severed arm fell from the wrecked machine and stopped at my foot. My severed arm.. I looked at the arm and back at Gonta. I smiled and collapsed on the floor and everything went black...

I woke up.. in a bed in Miu's Research Lab. My head ached.. I looked around and noticed Shuichi watching me. "You're finally awake!" He smiled, relieved. "How long was I out..?" I asked. He thought for a second. "A few days.." he mumbled, "Maybe four. I've lost track." I looked down at my arm. It was covered in blood stained bandages. "I have to admit.. I'd have never done that for somebody.." Shuichi says, laughing slightly. Then I remembered.. "Is Gonta-" I sat up quickly, but Shuichi laid me back down. "Relax, you can't get up yet. Gonta's fine, he's been up for about a day now. He's been waiting for you to wake up," he said. "Can I see him?" I asked. "Sure, I'll go get him," he said calmly and left.

As I waited, I recalled the event in my head. I remembered Gonta's shocked expression when he saw my bloody arm. I couldn't believe I did that.. But seeing him being tortured with wasp stings was too much for me.. and when that giant wasp exploded out of Monophanie's stomach, I knew I had to do something.. I couldn't let him die and if I had to risk my life to help him.. I did it. I had to admit I was in love with him.. At first, I thought it was just a small crush but.. he was a sweet guy and a gentleman. I had a feeling he didn't feel the same way but I couldn't let him be executed..

A few minutes later, Shuichi came back with Gonta behind him. He had a mask of bandages on his face, only showing his eyes and mouth. My stomach dropped when I saw him. He saw me and grinned, running up to me and hugging me tightly. It hurt my arm a bit but I didn't say anything. "(Y/N)! Gonta was afraid you'd never wake up!" He said cheerily. I hugged him back and smiled. "I'm just glad you're okay.." I mumbled. "But.. why did (Y/N) lose her arm to save Gonta? Gonta killed Miu.." he whimpered. "It wasn't your fault that you killed Iruma.. I couldn't just let you die... I love you..." I said quietly. He stopped and looked down at my arm. "You lost your arm.. because you loved Gonta?" He asked. I nodded, looking away. I could see him smiling behind his bandages. "Gonta loves you too, (Y/N).." he said quietly. I looked up at him and he kissed my cheek. "Feel better, (Y/N)!" He grinned and left. I smiled and sighed.

"I will.."

I may or may not have cried a little when writing this. Honestly, I would do the same.. in a parallel universe where I wasn't a little bitch.
