I sighed as I watched Ikusaba shooting targets, the loud bangs drowned out by the thoughts in my head. I stared down at my feet, sighing to myself. She stopped and looked over at me, staring at my face, in between my eyes. "Is everything okay?" she asked quietly. I look up at her, blushing ridiculously deeply. "Y-Yes, I'm alright.. Sorry for distracting you, Ikusaba-san.." I mumble quietly. "It's fine, I don't mind," she smiles and turns back to the targets. I cover my face with my hands and groan quietly.

She'll never know how I feel, I don't have a reason to tell her. Irumi talks about a boy named Naegi when I visit her. She says Ikusaba has a crush on him. It's hopeless. Almost everyone knows I'm in love with her, but she never seems to notice. I've tried everything I can to be the best I can for her. I've gone to Gokuhara to learn how to be nicer, Irumi to look better and Hoshi to be more confident. But, I suppose it was all for nothing. Well, there's nothing else to lose now, I guess.

"I-Ikusaba-san..?" I call out over the gunshots. She puts the gun down and looks over at me. I exhale and blush harder as she sits down next to me. "Yes, Kibo-san?" she asks. "U-Uh.. Well, it's just.. I-I.. love you.." I mumble quietly, staring at my knees. Now she knows, and I can't take it back. She looks surprised, she never knew? "I guess.. I never had the time to notice.." she whispers guiltily. I turn my head to her. Of course she never had the time for someone like me. "I guess.. I've always kind of loved you too.." I shot my head up and stared at her, my face turning red. "But.. you like Naegi.. don't you?" She looked at me, confused. "I gave up on Naegi.. Besides, you've been very sweet." I blush, she noticed Gokuhara's advice? "Y-you really mean it..?" I mumble. She nods quietly and her cheeks turn a noticeable pink.

Suddenly, the Body Discovery Announcement was played. "Here we go again.." she whispers sadly. "I'll meet up with you and the others, Ikusaba-san." She nods. She gets up and pulls my head to her, kissing me on the cheek.  She runs to the scene, leaving me alone in the grass. I sigh and pull my knees to my chin. As I smile to myself, I get up and look for the others.
