{ Calum POV }

After Jenna and Lani to her dad’s restaurant, Luke walked up to me when I was sitting on the couch, asking, “So, what happened last night?”

“It’s not my night to tell.” I answered him, and Luke sat down next to me, nodding, “I know, but I’m asking about your night since you were gone.”

I sighed, and rubbed my eyes, “I took her out to a pizza place, and we talked.”

“About what?”

“Random stuff,” I shrugged, and I cracked as smile, “You know, talking to her was like old times again.”

“Oh really?” Luke smiled at me, “How so?”

“It was as if what happened between never happened. My screw up never existed and we were just laughing and having a good time. It felt pretty good spending time with her like that.”

“I bet,” Luke nodded at me, “I’m just wondering now.”

“Yeah, what about?”

“If you’re finally gonna cut the whole pushing crap, and win Jenna over.”

“What?” I shot my head at him, “That’s random.”

“Look, Triston is out of the picture. I know, okay? It’s not exactly a secret that Jenna didn’t have fun at the date.”

“That’s true.” I nodded, and sighed, “But-”

“What now?”

“I mean, she’s trying to figure things out. I bet she’s so confused right now and-”

“That’s something Jenna will decide. You can’t just assuming things about her, and go with it. Jenna have her own feelings and thoughts so you should hear her out first then think of your next move. I know it’s hard to balance out pushing and holding back, but if Jenna is ready, she’ll say so. So right now, all you can do is just have to be by her side when she needs you.”

“Okay,” I agreed with him cause I mean, he haves more knowledge of this than I do, “You have a point.”

“So, are you gonna quit the pushing act and finally get your shit together to be with her?”

I can’t help but to smile widely and nod, “Yeah, I’m done with it. It was really stupid of me.”

“No shit,” Luke pushed my shoulder, “I knew from the very beginning that you’re meant for her, but you just had to be difficult and push her away.”

“Oh,” I raised my brows at him and leaned forward, “Like how you shut off Lani because you felt like you were making her feel uncomfortable?”

“Yeah, yeah, but let’s not make it about me and Lani, okay? You and Jenna are completely different. Just don’t do my mistakes and mess things up.”

“Too late for that.” I shrugged, and Luke just shook his head at me, “That’s where you’re wrong Calum. Just because things went wrong back then doesn’t mean you can make it better. Jenna is not bitter, so she’ll most likely give you a chance to make things right. You, my friend, just need the confidence to do so.”

“Since when you became all wise?” I chuckled, and Luke laughed with me also, “Love can do a lot of things to you. It makes you wiser, and stronger in a way.”

After my conversation with Luke, I decided to the studio room to relax a little bit. I hope Jenna is okay, and that Triston guy would leave her alone. I don’t know what happened, but I really don’t care because whatever he did brought her closer to me. What I did to Jenna was really stupid. I don’t know why I kept pushing her away and my reasons were lame also. I’m not good enough? Really, Calum? I should know better. After that night Jenna, it brought me back memories and realized that Jenna stayed with me out of all people. Even though she went on dates with Gabe, she still made sure to call me or talk to me, even for a short while, just to make sure I’m okay. Now, that’s something I really looked over and never took into consideration. Just thinking about her makes me smile, really. Last night was the best and I wish I could relive it again. Maybe I can, if I just get my shit together, and make her mine.

Later, I heard Lani calling out, “We’re home!” and that means to me is Jenna is home. I walked out of the studio and I already see Jenna walking towards me.

“There you are!” Jenna gave me a wide smile and hugged me really tight around my waist.

“Woah, woah,” I laughed at her greeting to me, “Missed me?”

Jenna laughed out, “Yeah, I missed you soooo much!” She started squeezing the dear life out of me.

“TOO MUCH LOVE.” I managed to say out loud, and when she let go, I took a deep breathe, laughing, “Man, you sure have some arm muscle on you.”

“Thanks,” Jenna grinned at me, and asked, “What were you doing in the studio room?”

I shrugged, “Just wanted time alone.”

She nodded, “Understandable.”

“How was your talk with your dad?” I asked her, and she answered, “Great actually. He was pretty mad at me, but we worked things out. He knows what happened between Triston and me. Even Gabe since he was the restaurant also.”

“Really? What did he say? Was he mad?”

“Furious, actually.” She chuckled, and shrugged, “But I told him I would handle it. I mean, it’s my problem, he shouldn’t solve it for me. I won’t learn anything from that.”

“That’s true.” I agreed, “So, what are you gonna do with Triston and Gabe?”

“Well,” She turned towards the pool and sighed, “I’m not sure right now, because I have other things to fix.”

“What do you mean?” I walked towards her, and Jenna looked at me, giving me a small grin, “Oh, just things.”

“You’re being all mysterious all of the sudden.” I nervously smiled at her, and she shrugged again, “People need a little mystery in their lives.”

“Well, aren’t you interesting.” I suddenly put my arm around her shoulder. For some reason, just doing this feels right.

Jenna rested her head on me, sighing, “Hey..”

“Yeah?” I looked down at her.

“Thanks again for today.”

“You keep saying thanks to me.” I chuckled, and she shrugged, “Because sometimes I feel like I don’t really appreciate the things you do for me.”

“Oh Red,” I pulled her closer to me, “You’re doing just fine. I’m sorry for being inconsiderate towards you. Especially with me telling you to go to Gabe when obviously things weren’t going great in the first place. I feel like all this happened because of me.”

Jenna shook her head, “We’re both at fault, but hey,” Jenna wrapped her arms around my waist, hugging me, “It’s okay, now. I know you just wanted best for me, but let me figure that out next time, okay?”

I started laughing, “Yeah, I promise I’ll stop. I’ll just be the guy to help you through all those hard times with hugs and kisses.”

“Kisses?” Jenna asked me, and looked up at me, “I hope you mean on the cheek, right?”

I pursed my lips. Crap. That slipped. I looked down at her, and just smiled, “Yeah, and,” I leaned in and kissed her forehead, “that too.”

She started laughing and shaking her head at me, “Such a flirt sometimes.”

“I know, can’t help it.” I sighed which was true. For some reason, when I’m around Jenna, she makes me do all these crazy things. As if I’m under a spell or something. Like she haves a Voodoo doll. Man, song lyrics could be so literal sometimes, it’s weird.

Voodoo doll, or not, Jenna gives me all these feelings that I can’t describe, and pushing her away is a waste of time. No matter how much I push her, we always comeback together like this. Inseparable and Jenna in my arms where she belongs.
