"It's Something" # 2 - Something Different: Calum Hood [ completed ]

"STAY STILL JENNA!" Alyssa demanded since I kept twitching when she was applying eyeliner, "I DON'T WANT TO MESS UP!"

"I'M TRYIN!" I whined, "How much longer?!"

"SHUSH!" She flicked my forehead, "Patience, Jenna. Perfection takes time."

It's homecoming day, and I'm having butterflies. Calum already landed is currently getting read at the hotel. The guys are coming also since Calum is going and Michael asked Alyssa to be his date so she can feel better. Michael asked her by getting her favorite ice cream and wrote "Homecoming?" on the top with icing and left it on her desk once first period started.

"WHAT THE HECK?!" She gasped the moment she saw it, and smiled, "Who did this?!"

Anthony was in the classroom also, and you could just tell in the expression of his face that he was curious also.

Then Michael popped up out of our teacher's desk, yelling, "SURPRISE!"

A bunch of fangirls started squealing while Alyssa just stood there, stunned.

Michael went up to her, took her hand and smiled, "So, can I be your date to your homecoming dance, my love?" then kissed the back of her hand.

Her face was priceless. Alyssa's cheeks were turning bright red and she just nodded, still dazed on what was going on, "Uh-huuuh..."

And here we are now, at my house, getting ready, and for some reason, I am feeling sick in the stomach.

"Just breathe, would ya?" Alyssa chuckled at my nervousness as she was done applying a hint of pink gloss on my lips, and I took a deep breathe, "Sorry, I just can't help it. It's been a few months since I last saw him and I-I just want to see him already!"

"Has anyone ever told you that eagerness is adorable?"

"Shut up. Calum always makes fun of my eagerness."

I'm just saying, it's been a few months since I last saw him, and my heart is just racing at the thought of him dressed up in a suit, looking clean and handsome, and oh dear god, my mind is going nuts.

I heard my phone rang and when I check, Calum texted, saying

"Gonna be a few minutes late, don't mind?"

I felt a little sad when he said that but I thought of him coming and forgotten about my sadness.

"That's fine, just be here so I can see you looking nice :D!" I texted back and he immediately replied, saying, "Just for you, good lookin ;)"

"Wipe that dumb smile off your face and help me zip this up." Alyssa nudged me, and when I looked at her, I gasped, "LYSS! You look great!"

Alyssa turned to me, smiling, "You think so? I thought the color was something different than I usually pick out."

"It is different!" I went to up to her and helped her zip up her dress. When she turned around to look at me once I was done, she did a twirl and smiled, "I am so excited!"

"Same here." I nodded, "Now let me get my dress!"

My dress was more simple than Alyssa's but I didn't want to be over the top. I know Calum would appreciate me in something more simple looking, but either way, he said that he just wants to see me all dolled up.

Once all the dressing up was over, I looked myself in the mirror, next Lyss, and sighed, "Woah, we look amazing."

"Right?" Alyssa nodded, and grinned, "I have a feeling that tonight will be good night."
