School Days

Modern AU teenage Loki.

You walked down out the school at the end of the day highly upset. You made it to your car and your best friend was there waiting for you.

"Hello y/n."

"Hey Loki..."

He walked to you rubbing your arms trying to look into your eyes.

"Y/n... What's wrong."

"Nothing's wrong Loki."

"Y/n, we've been friends since we were toddlers. I know you like the back of my palm. Now what's bothering you."

You quickly put your bags in your car shutting the door. You looked at Loki trying not to cry.

"It's pathetic really Loki."

"Y/n... Please tell me."

"Math. That's what. I feel so stupid in the class Loki. I've been trying hard, but I just did awful on this test. I study, but I just don't understand. I'm trying not to cry. It's so stressful, and I just..."

Loki pulled you in for a hug now rubbing your back. "Shhhh. It's okay y/n. You are smart. You are in the top classes, and you study hard. You are brilliant. This is just a small setback. How about you get a tutor. Hey, I could tutor you if you wanted free of charge."

You pulled away in shock. "Loki... That's very sweet of you, but I couldn't ask you to do that taking time out of your life to tutor me."

"Y/n. Stop being so stubborn. I offered so I want to take time to tutor you."

"Well... I do want to improve and since your offering, I guess you'll tutor me. Just don't get frustrated or upset."

"Just because you're getting getting tutoring doesn't mean you're not smart. I'll tell you again and again how smart you are. Also I won't get mad or frustrated alright. You can do this. We can do this."

"Okay."

"Hey. How about you just follow me to my house and we can review your notes and work from there."

You nodded as you both got into your separate cars going to his house. You hugged his mother, and you both headed to the garden. It was enclosed by glass so you wouldn't have to worry about the wind blowing your work.

You got your things out, and Loki began to help you. Anytime you got frustrated he'd rub your back encouraging you. Eventually you started to understand. It was like a breath of fresh air. You didn't feel stressed out or anxious.

After you finished studying Loki's mom asked if you wanted to stay for dinner. You couldn't refuse after asking your parents if you could stay for a little while longer.

You sat beside Loki talking to him as his brother spoke to their father and mother. When you all finished Loki walked you to the door. You hugged him thankful for the tutoring he helped you with.

"See you tomorrow y/n."

"Bright n' early."

Many nights after you'd spend time with Loki as he tutored you. After you'd normally do something fun like roller skate, go to the bookstore, or get a bite to eat. Those nights made you realize how much you missed spending time with each other after school like when you were younger. Then after middle school you both kinda stopped. You talked at school, but that's is all you both really ever did. This tutoring thing was like the door opening to what you both used to have. In fact it was also making that crush you had on him so long ago come back.

You truly managed to regain your crush on Loki. Somehow he wiggled his way back into your heart without having to do a single thing other than be himself. When you realized your feelings came back it actually made you blush because when you were a little girl, you thought you'd end up marrying him.
