Loki walked into the house searching for y/n. He was relieved to finally be home after a long day helping the Avengers. He just wanted to watch movies with his wife.
He was still searching for y/n when a weight on his cape prevented him from moving. He turned his head to see a little Golden Retriever puppy sitting on his cape. When the puppy realized Loki was looking at him, the puppy seemed to smile as it stuck it's tongue out.
"You found Goldie."
"More like Goldie found me. Y/n, I thought we were going to find a puppy together and name it together." Loki made a cute little puppy dog pout.
Y/n walked to him picking up Goldie and letting Goldie be in front of Loki. Goldie made his own puppy dog pout face, which was extremely cute.
Loki caved, and Goldie must've known because he began to lick Loki's face. Loki laughed and gently took Goldie from y/n.
"I'm sorry I got Goldie without you, but Clint's dogs had puppies. He offered us one, and I couldn't resist. His daughter said that she named him Goldie, and she made me promise to keep his name. I did. I really am sorry. I couldn't help myself."
Loki placed a kiss on y/n's lips. "It's okay Darling. Goldie is very adorable. A wise choice if I do say so myself."
"Thank you. I actually haven't gotten much for Goldie because I wanted to go with you."
As soon as Loki got changed, the two of them and Goldie headed to the local pet store. Y/n protectively held on to Goldie as Loki drove. They listened to their favorite tunes, and Loki was happy that he didn't have to stay with the Avengers any longer than he had to. It wasn't that he didn't love the Avengers. He did. They were his family, but he loved y/n ten times more. She was his closest family, and he loved her so dearly.
They made it to the store, and Loki got a buggy. Y/n brought a blanket and put it in the seated area of the buggy and then put Goldie in the seated area. They walked around, and y/n linked her arm with Loki's. They began picking out dog food, beds, bowls, toys, collars, leashes, and much more.
Y/n and Loki even got some tags made.
"Aunt y/n? Uncle Loki?"
They both turned around to see Clint, Natasha, and their daughter Clara They walked up to Loki and y/n with Goldie's father Pizza dog.
"Hello Clara." Loki smiled, and she ran to him. He picked her up rubbing her back.
Y/n picked up Goldie, and showed him to the five year old. She immediately saw the collar and tag. She slowly sounded out the word until she figured it out.
"You kept Goldie's name."
"Just like I promised." Y/n smiled.
Clara looked back to her parents, "look they even got Goldie lots of stuffs. Is it okay if I stay with Loki and y/n the rest of the day?"
"Maybe another time Clara; you have dance tonight remember?" Natasha said.
"Oh yeah. I guess we should get going. I love my dancing."
Loki put Clara down, and she ran back to Clint and Nat. Everyone said their goodbyes, and Loki and y/n made their way to the cash register. They paid for all the items and went back home.
"Loki..."
"Yes..."
"We should give Goldie his first bath in his new home."
"Sure. Do we have peanut butter?"
Y/n nodded getting the peanut butter while Loki got the puppy. Loki handed Goldie to his wife, and he filled the tub just enough to get Goldie's paws wet.
Y/n realized the peanut butter was to distract the puppy from the bath. She put Goldie in the water, and Loki got a small amount of peanut butter to give to Goldie. He was a good boy who enjoyed his bath.
Loki cleaned his hand and got a towel to give to y/n. She wrapped the towel around the puppy picking him up. She let Loki dry the puppy, and she couldn't help but take a picture of her two boys.
Then Goldie yawned, and she couldn't help but smile.
"You know, Clint and Nat still have a few more puppies left. Can we get one more. Please?"
"Maybe... Probably.... Of course Darling." Loki smiled kissing her forehead.
What a lovely day.
