Magic Entwined 🌹

Now Loki and you were at the age of ten. His mother revealed to him that he was King Laufey's child. No one knew who his birth mother was, but he knew Frigga was his true mother. When he heard that he was the son of the Jotun King, he didn't really know how to feel. Frigga told him that Laufey probably would have been harsher on him than Odin. Eventually he said he liked being here in Asguard.

Today you and Loki were practicing your magic. You looked through a spell book as Loki made his illusion of fish swim around your head. Then your eyes landed on the perfect spell.

"Loki I found a spell we could do together."

He made the fish disappear as he walked to you. He leaned over you as he looked at the spell.

"The tethering spell. Two conjurers of magic preform this spell to combine their powers and become stronger. They will be able to always find each other if separated, and telepathy will be easier between the two. Conjuring spells will also be easier." He finished reading the description and thought about it.

"It doesn't seem to difficult to preform, and I don't see any type of warning or negative affect." He looked to you.

"So are we going to preform this spell?"

"I don't see why not."

You had already thoroughly read through the spell, so you stood up facing Loki.

"We have to hold each other's hands." You told him, and he took both your hands in his own.

"Did you read the..."

"Incantation? Yes." He nodded.

Then you both closed your eyes. You were about to both say the words together when Frigga walked in.

"My son, and my daughter (for she hoped that one day you would be her daughter in law) what spell are you both preforming?" She asked as she walked up to the both of you.

"We are performing the tethering spell mum." Loki looked up to Frigga.

"Oh love, that is a spell performed at a much older age, not that I don't believe you both won't preform it one day." She spoke as she sat down by you both.

"Is it more difficult than it appears?" You questioned.

Frigga looked to you and smiled. "No, it actually isn't very hard at all."

"Then why is it performed later?" Loki questioned.

"Well my angels, you do both know what tethering means correct?"

"Yes. It means to join together." You added.

"Indeed it does. However it is traditionally performed when two spell casters want to join as one. Basically, this spell is like a marriage binding spell that two preform when they are in love. My mother and father performed the spell. I didn't get to since Odin is not a magic wielder."

You couldn't believe you were about to preform a unification spell. You still didn't completely understand the concept of marriage and neither did Loki.

"Oh. Mother, do you think y/n and I will get married?" Loki looked up to Frigga.

"How about we let the course of time answer that question my dear?" She placed a kiss on his forehead.

"Okay."

"Is there any spells either of you need help on?" She asked.

"No. I don't think so." Loki answered. You shook your head no.

"Alright then. I will leave you both then." She got up and walked out of the library.

You still remained silent then you felt Loki walk to you. Then you felt him grab your hand. You finally looked to him, and he was smiling.

"Hey... It's okay. We didn't know that that's what the spell really meant."

You nodded your head.

"Hey, let's just forget that this had even happened. In fact, maybe we should just stop practicing for today. We could stargaze when the night arrives."

You began to slightly smile, and Loki squeezed your hand, "Okay."

"See. Everything is well as it should be. Now let's put these books up, and then we may go to the garden."

You nodded, and Loki picked up the book. He handed it to the librarian for her to put up. Then you both walked hand in hand to the gardens.

There you spent the rest of your day together, and Loki walked you back to your room when his mother told you both it was time to go to sleep. He stopped at your door, and you stopped with him.

"Thank you for another wonderful day." Loki smiled.

"You are the one who makes the day wonderful." You blushed.

"We make the day better when we are together." He squeezed you hand.

"Goodnight Loki. I'll see you in the morning."

"Y/n... Your morning is lunchtime when we aren't schooling." He laughed.

"Indeed it is." You smirked.

"Alright. Well I'll see you then." He hugged you, and you returned it.

Once again you easily fell asleep, and for now.... The tethering spell was forgotten, and all was well.
