You finally had enough energy from healing Thor's wound to get up and do things again. Loki had decided to play nurse all while you were getting better. All of which each night consisted of "goodnight my princess" of which you were always asleep.

When you woke up you saw Loki open the door. He smiled walking to you holding your hand.

"Well y/n mum said you are good to get up and roam, so... What would you like to do today?"

You thought about it and then smiled, "Can we go play in the snow?"

"I don't know. Mum says I'm not to play or go out in the snow." Loki whispered, but then he noticed how sad you looked. "Oh alright. Just for a little bit."

You smiled as you got up. Then you asked Loki to walk out so you could change. He nodded and shut the door as he waited outside. Once you finished getting dressed, you let him back in. However he had a wrapped box that he bestowed to you.

"What's this?"

"Just a token of my appreciation. Mother helped me pick it out." He blushed.

You opened it up to reveal a wooly blue cloak with golden flower embroidering sewn at edge of the hood and all down the cloak.

"Loki... It's beautiful." You smiled. Loki picked it up and draped it over you.

"I'm glad you like it. Now let's go play in the snow."

You slipped your arms through the sleeves, and then you held Loki's hand. You both ran down the corridors until you were outside.

"Loki... I just realized... Why don't you have a cloak?"

"I'm never cold." He shrugged.

"Well... Neither am I, but I don't want to get sick. I don't want you to get sick either." You grabbed his hand.

"I won't get sick. I promise." He squeezed your hand. "Look I've been practicing my magic."

He lifted his hands and focused all his attention on your head. Slowly snowflakes formed making a snow crown appear on your head. Then he made a mirror appear.

"Oh Loki it's beautiful thank you so much." You hugged him. "Can we make a snowman?"

"Of course." He smiled.

You both got to work building the base of the snowman. You decided to go find some accessories for your snowman when you heard a scream. A scream that only belonged to Loki. You dropped everything and ran to where he was.

"Loki! Loki! What's wrong." You finally got to him, and your heart broke.

"I know why mum doesn't want me to go out in the snow." Loki began to cry.

Loki was Jotun. You didn't understand, and Loki probably didn't understand either. You sat in front of him. You actually had a fascination for Jotuns and Joutenheim. You knew that you couldn't touch them without burning yourself, but you had been finding ways to be able to touch them without burning yourself. Thankfully, you found a permanent spell that would allow you to touch a frost giant given the chance. You had already cast it about a year ago, and now was the time to see if it worked.

You sat down in front of him and took off your gloves. Then you scooted closer to him.

"Y/n... Don't touch me. If I'm truly a Jotun, I'll burn you." He looked up tears falling down his cheeks some freezing in the process.

"You won't burn me." Your legs were now touching his own. Slowly you reached out and cupped his face in your hands. You wiped the tears from his eyes, and he slowly began to calm down.

"I don't understand." He whispered, "how can you touch me, and how am I Jotun?"

"Well Loki, I actually have a fascination with Joutuns and Joutenheim. I hoped I would one day get to meet one, but I knew I wouldn't be able to shake their hand or hug them if we became friends. Last year I learned a spell that allows me to be in contact with Joutuns without burning them. To be honest Loki, I don't know how you could be a Jotun. Perhaps your mother and father will tell you once you're older. However I do know that no matter what you will always mean the universe to me. In fact you know I adore the color blue. I like this side of you just as much as I like the other. This might change your heritage, but this changes nothing between us."

He began to slightly smile, "Really?"

"Really." You smiled, "now how about we go inside and have some hot chocolate? I assume you will return to normal once you are out of the snow."

"Thanks y/n." He smiled, and he already had his hand in your own. That was one of the only things he feared. If he couldn't change back, and he remained in his Jotun form, he was afraid he'd never be able to hold your hands again. Holding each other's hands helped comfort him when he was sad or scared. It helped for all his emotions. It would also be what he realized, as he got older, a safe place. It was a sign that you both care for each other immensely.

Loki now had the actual smile you know as his genuine one. You squeezed his hand and leaned your head on his shoulder.

Up above Frigga stood watching everything that happened. She smiled happy that Loki had someone that cared about him so much. Even y/n's mother saw it. She knew that Loki knew he was a Frost Giant, and she thought she should tell him the truth very soon without her husband knowing.

For now all the family remained happy, and you and Loki sat by the fireside drinking hot chocolate. His skin had returned to normal, or it was the normal he knew. He was happy, and as the days and years passed, he continued to grow more and more fond of you....

And he didn't mind it at all.
