It had been a year since Loki and you got married. You both went out more than you had when you first got to Earth, but Frigga remained in the house she wanted you and Loki to build for her. It was also in the borders with your house.
You visited Thor and Sif as well as the other Avengers every now and then. Sif and Thor seemed to be doing well, and they were taking their relationship slow.
Today you and Loki were cuddled up on the couch watching movies. You ran your fingers through Loki's soft hair. You even braided some strands of his hair, because he was growing his raven locks out. It was very different from his short hair, but you found yourself liking his long hair more and more each day.
Then outta the blue, you felt something was off. You vision became blurry until it cleared once more. You were in Odin's room, and he was sitting down. It looked like he was looking directly at you. You looked to your left and noticed Loki and Frigga beside you.
"Congratulations are in order to you both my son and daughter-in-law. Frigga... You left me." Odin whispered.
"I didn't leave you. I left with my sons and daughter. Odin, you if you hadn't kept this secret, we'd all still be home." Frigga walked up to him.
"It doesn't matter Frigga. You all need to return, or at least send Thor. Asgard needs a ruler, for my time is now limited."
"How did you find out?" Frigga asked.
"I'm close to death. I know enough." Odin sighed. "Please just send Thor. Asgard needs a successor."
You grew mad at his last sentence. "You weren't planning to give Loki a chance were you? You're just communicating with us so we can send Thor your message since he doesn't have magic. I'm right, aren't I?"
"You always were smart." Odin laughed.
"I know, and that's why we're leaving. Knowing you, you probably have another child that could relay the message to Thor. Goodby." You grabbed Loki's hand, and he grabbed Frigga's hand. You used your powers to get out of the dream state.
When you opened your eyes, Loki was holding your hand. "Darling... I think we need to tell Thor. He deserves to know. Besides, Asgard was our home for a long time. We shouldn't let Asgard fall."
"I already told him." Frigga showed up in front of you both as an illusion.
"Alright." Loki nodded.
"I think you both should go with him. I believe there is something greater at hand going on." Frigga responded then she looked to you both, "it's up for you both to decide, but no matter what happens, I know we all will be fine."
Then she disappeared. You looked down and rested your head on Loki's shoulder. He wrapped his arms around your waist and rubbed your back. You began to feel comfort as you always had in his arms.
"I think mother is right. We should go, but I don't want to force you to do anything you don't want to." Loki kissed the top of your head.
You pulled away and looked to him. "Loki... I... I think we should stay here with your mother. If Thor needs us, he will know where to find us."
"Okay." Loki softly smiled as he touched your cheek. Then you closed your eyes.
"Wait... We should go. I... Felt something there. Something that shouldn't be there. Something that was fast approaching. Something dark." You whispered.
"Then let's go." Loki got up with you, and you both put on your suits.
You walked through the portal together and made your way to the castle. By the time you made it to his room, Thor was there. He looked to you both shaking his head.
