I Thought... 🌹

Loki, Thor, and you were in the great library studying your lessons. Your friendship with Thor slightly improved after he thought you spent all your time with his brother. To be honest it still was the same, but as children you all often forgot your little quarrels.

Unfortunately quarrels were a bit too often, and now Loki was aggravated that Thor convinced you to spend more time with him. Loki liked when you were with him moreso than Thor, and though you spent equal amount of time with both boys, Loki wanted it to just be you and him. He mainly thought that because Thor still spent most of his time with the same annoying boys and that one girl that was always rude to Loki.

Loki was still happy that you only held his hand. You never really held Thor's hand. That is exactly what you were doing right now. You were holding Loki's hand as you studied. He was trying his hardest to focus on his magic book, but Thor just had to choose the elective with that weird language that was only "I am Groot." He looked to you to see you studying, and he blushed when he saw you stick out your tongue in connection.

After you all were done studying, you and Loki walked hand in hand as Thor walked further in front of them.

"So I was thinking, we should play a prank on Thor." Loki smirked to you.

"I... I suppose."

"Don't worry, I'll do most of it. I just want you to go to Thor and make sure he's distracted." Loki nodded to you.

You really weren't sure if you should go with it, but you yourself nodded walking up to Thor. You paused one more time before you tapped his shoulder so you wouldn't have to keep chasing him.

"Y/n... I see you decided to walk with me." Thor grinned.

He wrapped his arm around your shoulder just as he always had. You walked on as Loki stayed behind. He and his mother had been practicing his magic for quiet some time. He focused on what he wanted to be, and he began to feel the magic working. Now he only had to pull the prank.

"So y/n... What are we going to the rest of the day?"

"Oh I dunno. We could."

"Oh look y/n, a snake." Thor bent down picking up the snake. He looked at it for a time until it glowed green.

The next thing you know Loki was standing in front of you and Thor. Thor screamed, and you looked down to see Loki's dagger in Thor's lower abdomen.

Thor was about to fall and you caught him. You cradled him tears falling from your eyes. "Loki what did you do!" You cried.

"It... I thought it was a good prank. I... I didn't stab him in a fatal area. I made sure of it." Loki looked down.

You tried to remain calm. Thankfully you as well had been training in powers yourself. You let tears slip down your cheeks as you pulled out the dagger. You tried not to look at the dagger. Then you placed your hands over the wound. You closed your eyes and began heal the wound. When you opened your eyes the wound was gone. Unfortunately it drained you, and you fell into Loki's arms.

Thor also sat up and looked down to you. Then he looked to Loki.

"Please... Please don't fight." You whispered before everything went dark.

Slowly you opened your eyes to notice Loki looking down to you. His eyes were red, and he looked very forlorn.

"Loki..." You began to sit up, but he gently pushed you back down.

"Please lie back down. You need rest. Mum said you drained a lot of your powers."

He took a moment to take a breath before continuing, "I am so so sorry about what I did y/n. I already asked Thor for forgiveness, and all is well. I just... I'm sorry I put you through this. I should have never pulled such a prank on anyone. Will... Will you forgive me?"

You knew you couldn't be mad with Loki, or rather you couldn't be mad with him for long. You slowly reached out to grab his hand.

"All is forgiven Loki."

His forlorn look began to fade away as a small smile began to appear on his face.

"Thank you y/n. Now why don't you get some rest."

You nodded and closed your eyes. Eventually you had fallen asleep, and Loki remained by your side. He hated that his brother didn't even come to see you, but instead he went off to spend time with his other friends. Loki was just thankful you hadn't asked of Thor's appearance, because he didn't want to have to tell you that the friend you spent your energy on was off somewhere else. It made his blood boil, but for you he tried to remain calm.

"Loki sweetheart... I know you want to stay with y/n, but you need rest just as much as she does." Frigga said as she entered your room.

"All right mum. Can I just have one more moment with y/n please?" He frowned not wanting to leave you.

"All right my son. I'm going to your room to get your night clothes out." She smiled as she walked to his room.

Loki looked down at his hand that was holding your own. Then he stood up, and though he really didn't know the meaning or significance he bent down and placed a kiss on your forehead. He smiled and blushed when he noticed you smile in your sleep.

He blew out the candles beside your bed and walked to your door. He turned around one more time, and something in him was beginning to change or rather grow. Something at first he would only say when he was only around you, but you couldn't hear.

He smiled and softly whispered, "Goodnight my princess."

And with that he left feeling extremely better.
