The next morning, my eyes fluttered opened. Light from my window entered the room, brighting it with it's natural light. My hand goes to my wrist where my golden bracelet has sat for the past weeks. Ever since that dream, I haven't taken it off.
My dream last night was insane. I had finally gotten the figure's name: Ryder. He saved me from what was left over from Tau and Omarr.
I frowned deeply remembering as he expelled them from this world and the next because of there actions. In a way, I would have done the same, an a part of me would have let them free. But he saved me, I thought as a smile came to my lips. That's more than I could have done.
My hands feel the chest hidden under my legs the whole night. It thankfully was still there. I was so relieved. Seeing my door was still closed, I brought the chest ontop of the covers instead of under them. The chest was still locked.
I turned my lamp on near my bedside and found a bobby pin lying on my dresser untouched. I assumed it was Sam because I don't wear bobby pins, ever. I hastily grabbed it and opened the mouth of the pin to fit into the keyhole.

I had unlocked it. A wide smile spreads on my face as I gingerly open the box. I felt like I was a pirate opening my treasure. Once the case was opened, few things lay stuffed in the chest. The first was a silver stake and a golden stake. I grabbed them and inspected them gently, observing the blood stained tips as I set them on the bed.
The next object was a newspaper article for the opening of the library. It showed Sam's mom, Layla and my mom, Miranda standing infront of the library of the grand opening.
Next was a How to Kill Demons book.
What? My hands flip through the many old pages as my eyes catch something. A page had been written on by Sam's mom.
"The inferno protect. Not kill." I read quietly as I put the book down and went for the journal. I had to unbuckle a few straps before it opened, flinging dust into my eyes. Each page was filled with an entry about her daily life and kills. I would make sure I would read this later. Seeing I only about a half an hour until Lucas's and I pracetice, I took forth with reading the first entry, with no date.
Dear Diary,
Today I start my job of hunting demons. And to be honest, im not scared. I know that through my research, demons die with a good stake in the heart. Although, the metal part stumps me. As ive read on vampires, wooden stakes or anything wood will kill them when you'd lodge them into their chest, but for demons it seems completely different. As we started this program, we were instructed two stakes to held with our endeavor.
The silver stake is used to parlistisi for the demon. The silver acts as a clot in their body, making them lose feeling in whereever they had gotton struck. In class, I had asked, "What if they get hit in the heart with a silver one?" The proffester looked at my odd before coming over to me, looming over me like a tall building. "The silver stake willl stun them. " He addressed before walking away from me, practically giiving me humilation.
Anyway, here's where it gets good. The golden stake (if lodged in the heart deep) Will cause immidaite death! Im thinking at it as a bullseyes on a dart board.
From this information, Im using it to make sure I put away the demons for good.
Love, Layla.
My heart pounds as I read it word, to word. Layla was a demon hunter as I held the diary page open, I could only picture Layla killing a demon. She was so down to earth and friendly. She wouldn't hurt a fly.
