That night, I dreamt of darkness. As funny as it was, there was no darkness around this strange, unusual land. It was welcoming and very kind to me. As I was no longer in the dreamworld, I was somewhere where a rainbow casted the sky. I gasped in sheer surprise as I made my way around this strange land.
The world seem to rotate slowly as I stood watched the wind blow from the trees.
I felt as though I had landed in a wonderful place until I stepped foot in a castle. Darkness seeped into the place was oxygen as I wondered around. Every step I took, it was a foot closer the darkness.
As I went closer to a strange door, the dream faded.
**************
I woke up peaceful, something I hadn't done in a long time. I looked across to Sam who was still sleeping away. The digital clock beeped 10:30am.
Somehow, it felt as if I had sleep a full day. Inside, I felt energized like I her drank twenty cups of coffee in one sitting.
I sprang up, practically tripping over my feet as I made my way to the bathroom. Deciding against taking a shower, I brushed my teeth and hair. When I looked up, the thick black tattoo over neck.
I gasped at the sight of the tattoo. A souvenir from the night gone wrong. With a deep breath, I took off my tank top, wanting to see if the tattoo had spread anymore. As I lifted my shirt up, a voice stopped me from doing so.
"L? Are you up?" It was Sam who stood outside the door.
"I'm in here!" I put my shirt down, along with all my courage and opened the door smiling. "Sleep well?" I asked her.
She grinned. "Of Ethan." Her eyes went dreamy and huge like anime eyes. "We were getting married." She clasped her hands over her chest with a contented sigh."It was all perfect."
I smiled at her as I exited out of the bathroom and to my bed where I sat, happily. "I know it was." She closed the door after I finished the last word.
I checked my phone, still on the dresser. I hadn't gotten a text from Lucas yet. Bored, I turned on the TV and found a news channel on. It had just turned to weather when I saw the forecast.
"Trista will be experiencing strong, severe storms this coming week. Storms will produced as followed: damaging hurricane force wind and hail, cloud to ground lightening and tornadoes. We are asking that you stay indoors and keep the news on so we can keep you updated. The storm is traveling south, down near Terra then will arrive to us; Trista in a couple hours." He looked back at the camera and then it went back to the newscaster.
I turned it off, my body quickly going into panic mode. Just as Sam walked out of the bathroom, we received unison texts that said," School is pushed ahead to the second week of September. Sam gasped and began to pack her bags rushed. I followed suit, knowing that we could get out of her faster.
I sprinted out of the door and knocked hastily on the guys door. Collin answered in his purple boxes with a lame smile on his face.
"Are you guys looking for some fun?" He commented as he leaned himself on the door frame.
I shook my head. "Turn on the news, doofus! There's a storm coming into Trista and it is bad!" Just as I said those words, all of their phones beeped in unison.
Lucas, already packed met me outside. "She's right! We have to go." A scared Collin began putting clothes on.
It took an hour to get out of there, but once we were out we raced back home as the outside weather cooled down immensely.
