I awoke from my nap with a knock on my window. I got up slowly and saw Lucas outside, smiling. But his expression changed when he saw me. I let him in and he sat in bed next to him as I told him what I done. And what had happened.

"I got a huge headache." I told him. "And...the voice was back...." My voice was shaky as I told him. He stroked my back softly. I could tell even he was scared by his fast breath. His grip tightened on me protectively.

"What did it say to you?" He asked softly, being careful not to be too loud for my mother to hear.

"I don't remember...My head hurt too much."

He nodded in understanding before looking over at the window. It had been 3pm when I came home and 5pm when Lucas came to see me.

"So, you went to Sam's house? Did you find anything?" I pointed to the bag over near my bed. Luckily, I didn't have to get up. He did. He brought the bag in front of us and unzipped it seeing the book. "I've seen this book before."

"Where?" I asked quietly as I watched as he inspected it.

"At the Inferno library. She must have taken in when she was there. "

My hands reached for the stuff in the chest as I showed him as it rested infront of out feet. "This was everything in the chest. " I told him as he set the book down next to him.

"Lets see here." He picked up the silver and gold stakes. "These are used. I can see the faintest touch of blood on them." He set them down and moved onto the How To Kill Demons book. He showed me it. "As hunters, we received these our first day. You might need to read this." A smile tugged on his lips as he moved onto the next item. "Holy water. Nice." He grinned before opening the bottle and making the tip touch his skin. I saw a very little drip of water before he closed it. "Fun fact, Ellie. Good demons aren't harmed by Holy Water. We can walk into churches easily but a bad demon gets burned by this. Like they were standing out in the sun."

"That's cool." I grinned as he set the bottle down on my bed. " And check out this. "I handed him the newspaper article. "Layla was there the day the library was built."

He raised his eyebrows as he began to read it quietly. "That's interesting. Somehow, Miranda and Layla are connected with the building of the library and being demon hunters!"

I nodded my head. "Yea. But it doesn't mention it in the diary. " I picked up the diary from my dresser, handing it to him. I had saved my place with a pink bookmark. "I'm not even halfway through. The last entry was about exams. Apparently Miranda and Layla had some bad blood between them sometimes."

He read the passages quickly so he knew what I was talking about. "That is interesting." He commented. I nodded as he hand me over the diary, pointing to a certain entry. "I jsut read this one...You should read it." His were serious and now had turned a silvery -gold. I had noticed that they had changed before. When I had found him in the alley. Before I started to read , I looked up at him.

"You're eyes just changed."

He smiled, touching his eyes briefly. "They do that, alot. You can tell a good demon to a bad demon is their eyes. "

"Charcoal black and menacingly dark."

"Yes. Like the inferno's, its light, like a fire. Some have silver eyes, others have gold. Dad said it was from my mom. She was a good demon when she met my dad." He chuckled. "He tried to kill her, but she defeated him to a pulp."

I smile alittle, setting the diary down. "I've never known my father. " I told him quietly. "He got murdered by Dr. Kevin."

He bowed his head. "Mom was murdered too. She and my father had gone demon hunting during the middle of the night. At that time, I was still a kid." He said, looking at me. His eyes had now went back to an endless blue. "They were fighting when a demon stabbed her from behind with a golden stake. He tried to save her, but it was too late. The stake was in too far." Tears rolled out of his eyes and down his cheeks.
