I woke up smiling. I didn't know what it was, but I had no nightmares, and no dreamscape. It was eleven when I looked at the clock. I yawned and stretched before getting out of bed, realizing I was yesterday's clothes. Getting cleaner clothes, I hopped into the shower before heading downstairs. Lucas was talking to someone on his cellphone.
"Yes, I know. " He sighs, sitting down on the couch. "Shes safe though, don't worry. I haven't exactly pin pointed the source yet either." He nodded his head. "And yes, shes alive. I told her what I could last night. If I tell her more, hse'll get more worried than she is. " There was a long pause before he spoke again. "Alright. Sounds good. Call me when you get the source." And with that, he hung up and swung his back to me. "Oh, Ellie. I didn't know you were up."
I sat next to him, wondering what to say. "Yea. Who were you talking to?" I hoped to god he wouldn't keep that secret anymore.
"The leader of the Inferno. " He grinned. "He wants to make sure your safe still. "
"I am."
He nods. "I know but he wants a report at least twice a day."
I gasped alittle, and felt a little stalked. "Why? I don't get why I'm in this anyway."
He shrugged. "Your the chosen one remember. That means something." A smile lit on his face before entered the kitchen. "Oh, and Sam will be home at noon. " Sam would be here in an hour. I couldn't wait!
I squealed in excitement. "Yay! I'm glad shes ok."
"I agree. That demon could have done much worse." He shuddered before peering into the fridge.
"When will I learn more about these demons? The bad and the good?" I grin excited.
He chuckled before pouring himself a glass of orange. "When the times comes." He assured.
A knock on the door startled me and I darted to it. I opened it for Sam who was in a wheelchair and mom helping her up. "Hey, mom." I kissed her cheek before gingerly hugging Sam.
"Hey, Sam!" She grinned before wheeling into the kitchen. Lucas had moved a chair into the living room so she had room.
"Are you guys hungry? Ill make my famous blueberry pancakes!"
Lucas sipped his orange juice before saying yes almost automatically. I smiled at him. I couldn't have had for a better friend. Mom began to make the pancake batter as Sam, Lucas and I began to talk.
"How was the sleepover?" she asked Lucas and I.
I giggle. "It was fun actually. We watched a movie and he even made dinner!" I leaned into her ear. "How hot is that!?"
She looked to Lucas and grinned. "Very. Im glad you guys had fun. Dr. Kevin took blood from me and I was almost close to fainting."
I stayed quiet, trying to cringe. Mom looked over to me as she put plates on the tables and served us the pancakes. "Oh, honey. I almost forgot. seeming of Dr. Kevin, he's coming over tonight."
I gasped. "Hes evil."
She came up to me face to face and I stood up. "Dr. Kevin is the nicest man since your father. I expect you to be nice and mature. " I gulped as her voice was thick of seriousness.
"O-Ok." I sat back down, defeated. Lucas gave me a long look. I could only sigh and pick at my pancakes.
***********
After breakfast, mom literally kicked Lucas out of the house. I even pleaded with her to let him stay. Her eyes were full of rage and disappointment. I dind't even feel the pain on my cheek until her hand was five inches from my faces.
