𝐉𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝟑𝟎𝐭𝐡, 𝟐𝟎𝟎𝟓Emma walked into the lunch room and the first eyes she met was Edward. He saw her too and dropped his food in disgust. Emma rolled her eyes and walked over to her lunch table seeing Clarie was talking to Bella while both eating their lunch. She placed her bag on the table catching Eric's attention.
" Hey ! La Push, baby... Are you in ?"
Emma frowned." Should I know what that means or is it some king of Forks slang ?" She asked sitting seeing Bella and Claire looking at her with lit up eyes.
" Claire and I were just talking about that. La Push is a Beach down the Quileute Rez."
" We're all going tomorrow."
" Yeah, there's a big front coming in." Jessica said seeing Emma nod her head looking to Bella liking the idea. A beach and a small get away was on her bucket list.
" Seems fun. I'll join."
" And I don't just surf the Internet." Eric teased while Jessica rolled her eyes.
" Eric, you stood up once and it was a foam board."
Angela ignored the two and smiled to Emma." There's whale watching too. Come with us."
" La Push, baby. It's...La Push." Eric said causing Emma to laugh at his accent he gave to the name.
" I'll go if you stop saying that, okay ? Makes it seem mysterious."
Claire nodded." Emma is right."
" Seriously dude... It's creepy, man."
" I'm gonna get my lunch." Emma laughed getting out of her seat feeling her stomach growl a bit.
" Give me your juice if you don't want it." Claire said causing Emma to laugh while reaching for a tray and looking to see all the food.
" Hey." She heard and jumped which caused her to drop her apple, but luckily Edward bounced it off his foot and into his hand perfectly. Emma playfully glared at him before taking the apple and shining the dust off with her shirt." Emma."
" Weirdo." She said turning around and going to get some dressing." Are you like bi-polar or something ? Like serious your mood swings are kind of giving me a whiplash over here. I can't keep up."
" I only said it'd be better for you if we weren't friends, not that I didn't want to be."
Emma laughed frowning." What the hell is that suppose to mean ?"
" It means, if you're smart, you'd stay away from me."
" Well, let's say for argument sake that I'm not smart." She said looking up to him seeing today his eyes were black. What a shame ? " Will you tell me truth ? Hell, I'll even go blonde to prove."
" No, probably not. I'd rather hear your theories."
" Well." She said biting into her apple before looking to him." My theory is you act like you're the Winter Solider or Loki because your some misunderstood person. Like them, you're more then evil and mystery. Am I right ?"
" That's all super-hero stuff, right ?" Edward asked seeing she nodded." What if I'm not the hero ? What if I'm...The bad guy ? What if I hurt you Emma ?"
Her eyes soften a bit and she shrugged her shoulders." You're no bad guy, Edward. You're just confused. I can tell. Sadly it has to do with me and maybe I will never understand that. What you need to know is whatever it is that your so afraid of me knowing, I can handle it. I'm no chicken and I don't judge. I can see what you're trying to put off, but I can see that it's just to keep people away from you. That's a mask. I should know. I had one when my parents got divorced." She said mixing her dressing up while he just watched her.
