Chapter Sixteen: Birthday

Third Person pov
𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟏𝟑𝐭𝐡, 𝟐𝟎𝟎𝟓

It was in the middle of the woods, during the day time. Emma was by herself feeling the damp leaves, dirt, and grass under her. She stood up looking around very confused. Why was she in the woods ? That's when she heard something swishing around her. Victoria. She took off in a run with that thought running and running till she fell. When she looked down, she did not feel the damp floor, but a solid tile.

It was cold hard and the only thing heard was the sound of her breathing. it was a bit frightening. She looked up confused seeing people with red eyes holding Edward towards her. He looked angry, but most of all scared and for some reason he didn't look scared for himself, but for her. She stood up carefully hearing how her voice echoed a bit. Again, she did not like it.

" Edward ?"

" Emma run !"

" Edward, what's going on ?" She asked when one of the guys zoomed over to her and grabbed her by the neck. She felt the air knock out of her chest, but when she looked over to Edward, she saw one person sliced their hand through Edward and his head rolled onto the cold tile ground.

A knock came to her door jolting her from her dream. She blinked a couple times before sitting up seeing Bella poke her head into the room with a smile before opening the door completely holding a present.

" Happy birthday, Emmy. I got you a present."

" I should punch you. I thought we agreed, no presents." Emma said seeing Bella smile and shrugged not caring.

" Please. You're my sister. Twin to be exact. Did You really think I wasn't going to get you a present." Bella said while Emma smiled and opened the purple wrapping paper to see it was new volleyball sneakers.

" Oh my god, Bella. These are amazing."

" I saw the ones you used for your game Thursday and I knew you could no longer where those worn down one."

" Hey, those worn down ones made it through every game." Emma said before hugging her sister." Thank you."

" No problem."

" Now it's my turn." Emma sang while getting out of bed and heading to her closet. Bella laughed watching her sister.

" I thought there were no presents."

" I broke the rule too." She said pulling a small present from her closet and smiled handing it to her. Bella took it and ripped the package.

" Em, no way ! An Iphone."

" Yeah, it's called the iphone 3GS. S stand for speed."

" But Em, you were saving up for one yourself." Bella said seeing Emma still smirking. She pulled one out of her pocket making Bella laugh." How ?"

" I saved every week from mowing Mrs. Aniston's lawn, to walking Mr. Blanc dogs, and cleaning Mrs. Steven's pool. I even helped tutor Madison Wheeler and Chandler Green. Edward also chipped in a bit."

" You're an amazing sister."

" I know." Emma said hugging her sister. A knock came to her door yet again, so they looked over seeing it was Charlie.

" Happy birthday girls. Well, the one from me is not wrapped. So, don't count on your don't get us present gimmo." Charlie said making the girls laugh. Charlie handed Bella a pink camera and Emma a purple laptop.

" Dad, this is so great."

" Wow, I love it so much. Thanks, Dad." Emma said a bit shocked running her hand over the smooth surface.
