Chapter Thirty Three: Jacob Black

Third person pov
𝐀𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐥 𝟐𝟖𝐭𝐡, 𝟐𝟎𝟎𝟔

Emma stared out the window seeing the grey clouds and heavy rain drag itself against the cool windshield while heading to school. Her mind was going to her mother back in Floirda. Already she was back in Forks and she missed her mother dearly. The weekend was the best time she had with her family her whole eighteen years. It was peaceful and filled with so much love. Despite being sad that she might never see her mother or Phil again, she was glad that their lives were filled with peace.

Her mom was happy with her life in Florida and that allowed Emma to have some sort of peace herself. She knew when Edward would have to fake her death, they had each other to hold them together. Charlie had the same thing and it would come from Bella. She would know the truth about her sister, but be there to help him move on. It was going to work out some how. The car stopped with Edward taking the keys out of the Volvo. He looked over to her seeing she looked over to him with a smile, but even he could tell the sadness they held behind.

" Did you regret going ?" He asked worried. Emma thought about it a bit. She remembered the laughing between her family the whole time and the heartbreaking goodbye, but looked over to him and shook her head with a small smile.

" No. I never will." She looked over to him proving the satisfaction." I loved seeing my mom and Phil again. It's just hard knowing her goodbye and my goodbye have different meanings."

" It doesn't have to be goodbye." He said and she looked over to him again shaking her head slightly annoyed by his words.

"Stop that."

" Stop what ?"

" I love you and I know the risk from it. I'm willing to take it later in the future. Like I said, right now is dealing with normal teenage things. Graduation, maybe college, and whatever life throws at me. I'm not pressuring you to change me right here and there, but you have to know that some day, I am going to have gold eyes." Emma said looking over to him. He was about to say something when he stopped and looked out the window." What's wrong ?"

" If I asked you to stay in the car, would you ?" He said getting out the car not even bother to hear her answer. Since it was still drizzling, Emma placed her hoodie on and walked right next to him with a smirk. He laughed." Of course not. Why did I even ask ?"

" Edward, what is it-" She was saying, but stopped when she saw in the distance was Jacob with his hair all wet and his motorcycle. She started walking forward worrying since she knew today Bella was going to skip school and go see him." Hey, where's Bella ? She went to see you today. Is everything okay ?"

" She's heading there now as we speak. Charlie said you left town."

" Yeah. To visit my Mom  and Phil in Florida. Why do you ask ?"

" He's checking to see if your still human. Thinks we made an excuse already." Edward said laughing. Jacob glared a bit and turned to him while Emma took a deep breath knowing they would fight soon.

" I'm coming here to warn you. If your kind come on our land again."

" Jake, what are you talking about ?" Emma asked clueless. Jacob's eyes went wide and he looked to Edward yet again glaring.

" You didn't tell her ?"

" Just leave it alone, Jacob."

" Jake ? Tell me what ? What's going on ?" Emma asked looking between the two and their tension. Her mind went to back when Edward dropped her off at her father's job and they talked about Alice's vision. He was clearly lying and she had a feeling she was about to hear all about it." Edward what's-"

" Emmett and Paul had a misunderstanding, there is nothing to worry about."

" Listen to you. Did you lie to get her out of town, too ?"

" Get me out of town ? Can someone please explain what's going on ?" Emma questioned annoyed yet worried.

" You should leave. Now."

" She has a right to know. She is the one the red-head wants." Jacob said and Emma blinked a few times before moving up to them. Her nerves jumped and she could feel the twist in her stomach. The simple description could make all the hairs on the back of her neck stand very straight.

" Victoria ?" Emma gasped before turning to Edward." Alice's vision. That's what she saw and you lied to me ?"

" I was trying to protect you. You know that's all I do for you."

" By lying to me again about something important." Emma said with hurt clear on her face. She was angry, no, pissed at the idea that Edward kept this from her. She turned to Jacob before walking forward." Jake, take me to La Push."

" Emma-"

" Don't touch me !" Emma said yanking her arm back from his touch which shocked him, but she did not care and continued to glare." You don't control my life."

" I'm not trying to Emma-"

" Why don't you go and lie to someone else. Jake come on." She snapped. Jacob nodded with happiness walking over and getting on the bike. Emma climbed right behind him and placed the helmet on seeing Jacob smirk bigger then the sun.

She rolled her eyes huffing slightly." Stop it, Jake. I'm mad at you too. Don't think your getting away with things."

" Okay, just hold on tight and enjoy the ride, squirt." Jacob joked before taking off. Emma wrapped her arms around him quickly before seeing Edward's worried face while she left.
