The morning before going to school, I googled everything I could find on Jacob's family tribe. I had a feeling whatever was in the stories could help me figure out why Edward was so weird. I found a book that was in a local bookstore and wrote it down when Bella came in the room the minute I closed my laptop.

" Hey, ready to go "

" Yeah." I said with a smile and left putting the posted note in my pocket.

In school, everyone was outside taking in the new day. For once in Forks, it was bright sunny with the temperature moving up and allowing the residents to wear flipflops and skirts. it was about fifty four degrees, but to everyone here, it was like living in the seventies. I ate my turkey club, but looked around a bit noticing a certain family was no where to be seen.

" He's not here." Jessica called out while staring at the sun and tanning herself. I looked over and couldn't help the sadness that followed from him not being here." Whenever the weather's nice the Cullens disappear."

I frowned," They just ditch?"

Jessica shook her head." No, Dr. and Mrs. Cullen yank them out for hiking and camping and stuff."

" I tried that on my parents and I wasn't even close." Claire said drinking her lemonade with a slight annoyed face.

I found it a bit odd. Why would you randomly pull your child out of school when it's sunny?

" Guys!" I heard and all turned my heads to see it was Angela coming over." I'm going to the Prom with Eric. I just asked him. I took control."

I smiled bumping her shoulder." I told you that would happen."

" Are you sure you guys have to go out of town?"

" Oh, yeah. My mom wants to see us soon. She misses us a lot." I said taking the last bite of my turkey club while Bella nodded very small.

" Okay, we should go shopping to Port Angeles before all the good dresses get cleaned out."

" Port Angeles?" I asked remembering that was where the bookstore I needed to go to get the book." Hey, do you guys mind if I come?"

" Yeah! I need your and Bella's opinion." Claire said when the bell rang starting the half rest of the day.

I blocked out the rest of the day feeling every waking minute feeling like hours before they let us out for the day. When we got to the dress store, Angela, Jessica, and Claire were quickly trying on many dresses while Bella and I watched hoping they would pick a dress soon.

" I like this one, but I don't know about the one-shoulder thing."

" Yeah, I like the beading."

" Jess, what do you think? Blue?" Claire questioned coming out the dressing room nervous." Is that good? Is that my color?"

" Hey!" We heard looking up to see some grown men cat calling them from outside." Nice!"

" That is uncomfortable."

" Oh, it's disgusting." Bella groaned before going back to her book.

" Em, what do you think?" Claire asked making me look up and smile slightly.

" Looks great."

" You said that about the last five dresses though."

I nodded." I thought they were pretty good."

" Not really into this, are you?" Claire asked, but I shook my head with a slight laugh escaping my mouth.

" I do like dress shopping, but I really want to go to this bookstore." I explained before gathering my stuff." Hey, I'll meet you guys at the restaurant?"
