Chapter Fifty Five: The Power Of Sisters

It might have been two hours since my talk with Jacob, but I continued to weep trying to finish up my school work for the week. I wanted to simply just lay on the couch and sleep for the rest of time. The floorboards creaked, but I didn't bother to look up knowing Rosalie always checked up on me.

" I'm okay, Rose."

" No you're not." A different voice spoke and I looked up glimpsing Bella with a dreadful smile." I could always tell."

" You're here."

" I'm your sister. I never leave." She said sitting in the chair Jacob was in a couple of hours ago. I submitted the last of my work and closed my laptop noticing the troubled face staring at me." First, I wanna apologizes for whatever Jacob said or did. He's an emotional one. Second, lhow are you feeling ?"

" Two weeks ago, I was eating everything in sight, but now I'm throwing up whatever is in my system." I said sitting up right the best way I could." I'm sleeping for a whole day almost now and...my bones. They just hurt."

" All you are is bones now." Bella gulped.

" Now you know why I didn't tell Dad I was back."

" He would freak." She laughed moving closer to me." You really think this is a baby ?"

I nodded my head looking up to her eyes and she nodded too beginning to have a smile on her pale face.

" Then so do I. A mother always knows best." She said and I smiled knowing she understood being a mother herself." I'm sorry I wasn't there for you when you first told me. I just went into shock knowing I gave you away in marriage three months ago and now you're looking five months pregnant with a vampire baby. God, Our lives are screwed."

I couldn't help, but laugh along side her." You can say that again."

" What does Edward thing is it ?"

My smile slowly dropped and I placed my hand on my growing stomach knowing what he thought of the baby. Monster. Freak. Beast Creature. Demon. He never said it out loud, well except Creature, but I knew he reckoned of others names too. I felt the tears in my eyes and sniffed trying not to sob, but it only made it worst.

" He doesn't see it like a baby, Bells. He called it a creature that was just killing me. Had nothing to offer this world."

" He only said that because he's afraid-"

" Of what ?!" I laughed loudly feeling my anger." Yes...I'm sick right now and...becoming vulnerable, but it's just a tiny baby. Everyone here keeps forgetting it's half vampire so some effects are harsh on me then a normal child."

" Has he talked to you ?"

I shook my head," No." I answered looking to my wedding ring." No, he only stays near me and helps me if really needed, but when we talk. We argue."

Bella nodded her head reaching over to hold my hand. At her contact, a sob escaped my mouth and she now pulled me in for a hug which I so desperately needed. I squeezed my eyes shut and cried onto her shoulder wishing everything would get better soon. I wanted this baby, but I also wanted Edward and I wasn't getting both.

" I feel so alone, Bella."

" You're not alone. You have me, okay ? Forever and always I will be here by your side." She whispered in my ear and I smiled still holding onto her tightly." Emma, you are the strongest person I have ever known. You been through so much and still show up fearless. I know you can do this. I know you're going to deliver this baby and live because that's you. You're a warrior, Emma."
