Chapter Fifty: Honeymoon

I understood everyone wanting to speak to the bride and groom since they were here for our big day, but I was starving and jealous of some guest sitting and getting to eat the beautiful dinner in front of them. Ever since we got to the Reception, people have non stop came up to us and congratulating us. I smiled out of politeness, but I was pretty sure sooner or later I was going to eat someone's plate.

" Hey, man." I heard and smiled to Seth seeing he was coming over. With Seth, it was different. He as a nice kid, so I genuinely had a smile watching him come over." Nice to see you. l'm happy for you both."

" Thank you."

Billy nodded his head," l hope you'll be happy, Emma."

" Thank you, Billy."

" Well, l plan on getting drunk." Dad said holding Leo in his arms and it caused Bella to quickly take him away getting a groan from Dad." I wasn't going to drink around Leo."

" I question you sometimes." Bella muttered causing Jacob to laugh.

" They're serving up some pretty fancy champagne." Dad said looking over to Sue with a smile." Sue, can l get you a glass ?"

" Sparkling fire water." Billy warned turning and hitting Dad in the leg with his wheel chair." Sounds great."

" Emma." A women softly called leaning down and kissing me on both my cheeks." Congratulations !"

" Thank you." I laughed remembering them to be Edward's cousins." Eleazar and Carmen, right ?"

" Yes, and these are our cousins from Alaska." Edward explained pointing over to the two women behind." Tanya, Kate."

" We've heard so much about you."

" Welcome to the family."

" Bienvenida."

" Thank you so much. It's really nice to meet you." I said getting a smile from all of them.

Carmen smiled turning to the last blonde girl" lrina. Come meet Emma."

The tall blonde slowly walked over whispering into Carmen's eyes," l can't do this."

" You promised." Tanya muttered.

Irina glared at her sister looking over to Seth and Billy." They invited one."

" lrina, he's our friend." Edward explained when Irina snapped her head over to him.

" They killed Laurent."

My body tensed at the name and I pulled Edward closer to me realizing Irina was Laurent's mate.

" He tried to kill Emma."

" l don't believe that." Irina hissed glaring at me." He wanted to be like us. To live in peace with humans. With me."

" Then why did he pull his arm back about to rip me apart in the dried meadow ?" I questioned instantly regretting my words knowing Irina was just grieving.

She was stunned and turned quick on her heels," l'm sorry."

" lrina !" Carmen called out to, but she kept walking away out of anger.

Eleazar smiled my way slightly embarrassed," Well. Let's not monopolize the bride. Congratulations.

" Thank you." I said giving them a smile, but once the Family had turned away, I turned to Edward a bit guilt ridden that Irina had lost her mate.

" Well, what's a wedding without some family drama ?"

" Yeah." I said hearing everyone hit their glass and followed Edward over to our table noticing Emmett was the first one onto the stage.
