I yawned tired of writing my paper and thankful that I was almost done. Having a english major was taking a toll, but I knew it would help out in the end. If I wanted to, I could be a teacher, or a writer, or editor, or even right my own book for the matter.

" Emma." Edward called and I smiled looking up to see a older women and man standing behind him." These are our housekeepers, Gustavo and Kaure. This is my wife Emma."

" Hi nice to meet you." I greeted smiling at the two, but the women looked at me horrified while her husband bowed his hat and smiled.

" Excuse me." The man said taking his wife and leaving to the room.

" Well, l guess we just leave them to it." Edward said sitting next to the couch while I submitted my paper and gave him my attention.

" What was that all about ? She was looking to me all weird."

" She's afraid for you." Edward answered and I laughed frowning at the sudden concern.

" Why ?"

" Because l have you here all alone."

My eyes widen and I gasped," You mean she knows about you ? That you're-"

" She suspects." Edward explained placing his hand on my leg." She's native Ticuna. They have legends about blood-drinking demons who prey on beautiful women..."

He leaned closer beginning to kiss at my neck and I felt my eyes roll to the back of my head loving every minute when a Portuguese voice yelled out to us. I gasped noticing it was the woman and she glared at Edward while her husband passed by getting her to follow.

" Yeah, she really hates me, but at last you'll get a proper bed to sleep in tonight."

" Why? So you can break it in again like you did to the couch" I said turning to see the broken furniture in the corner.

He laughed pulling me closer to him and kissing the top of my head," That's what married couples do."

" I doubt while three months in." I teased turning the TV on to by pass some time.

The rest of the days, the woman and man would pass in cleaning some stuff. The woman always kept her eye on me and I felt odd since she had nothing to worry about. I married him through my will and knowledge. By the end of the week, I woke up alone and walked to the kitchen seeing a note on the counter.

I've gone to the mainland to hunt, be back before you wake

" Beat cha." I said feeling immensely hungry and going for the fridge.

Everything called my name so I grabbed the chicken from last night along with peanut and pickles making myself a meal. While the chicken cooked, I spread some peanut butter and jelly onto a pickle and stuffed it into my mouth tasting how delicious it was. The chocolate syrup caught my eye and I smiled adding it into my mix flipping the chicken around. Once it was done, I tore into the chicken still feeling hungry despite eating about several pickles.

I opened my laptop about to start some work when my stomach took a turn and I leaned back feeling everything come back up. I leaped from the stool racing across the house until I got to the toilet and releases my stomach. The tears poured out of my eyes and I dug my nails into my legs wanting this all to be over.

" Emma ?" I heard Edward called and groaned trying my best to not sound in pain.

" Don't come in here, please." I begged, but the door had moved to the side and he was already walking in concerned. " You don't need to see this. It's not sexy."
