Chapter Fourteen: Don't Leave Me

Third Person pov
𝐅𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝟐𝟒𝐭𝐡, 𝟐𝟎𝟎𝟓

" Em ? Can you hear me ? Em ?" She heard and she felt like she knew the voice. She didn't open her eyes yet, but she moved around a bit. She knew that voice, but she couldn't put her finger on who's it was just yet. She felt someone hold her hand and squeeze it tightly. She did the same action back and heard someone laugh." Mom, I think she's waking up."

" Baby ? Emma ?"

" Mom." Emma said first opening her eyes and seeing her mom and Bella followed by the blinding light behind them. She blinked a bit time to get her vision back in tact. There, she saw her mother and Bella staring at her with the brightest smiles on their face. Emma looked down to her hand seeing the person holding it was Bella herself." Bella ?"

" Oh thank god."

" Where is he ? Where's... Where is Edward ?" Emma asked making Bella laugh a bit. She moved out the way showing Edward sleeping. Emma relaxed nodding her head while Bella still smiled. She had the fear that he had left or was dead due to James.

" He's asleep. He never leaves and dad is down at the cafeteria."

" What happened ?"

" What happened ? You don't remember ?" Renee asked making her shake her head a bit fuzzy with what happened." Well, you got into a car crash when you were going to visit Lily. Broke your leg, got a gash on your forehead, couple cuts here and there. You lost a lot of blood. You don't remember any of this, do you ?"

" Edward came down with his dad on a business trip when they came across your crash. Edward and his dad rushed you to the hospital. His siblings called Charlie. Their all outside. I like their eyes." Bella said causing Emma to laugh seeing her sisters big eyes.

" Dad's never going to let me drive again is he ?"

" It wasn't your fault honey. That drunk driver shouldn't have hit your car. It's a shame though. His car went up in flames and burned him along with the alcohol." Renee said when her phone buzzed." Oh, honey. I'm so sorry. It's Phil. He's so worried about you."

" Oh my god, you're texting ?"

" I know right. I almost had a heart-attack." Bella said causing the girls in the room to laugh a bit.

" Mom." Emma said making her mom look to her with a smile. She didn't want to knock that smile off her face, but she had to." I know you want to rent a house in Forks and you want us to come live with you, but I still wanna live in Forks with Dad."

" What ?"

" I wanna live in Forks. After this...I lived thirteen years without dad. I need to live more with him. He is my father after all. Plus, I can't leave Edward. He's...special to me."

" That's cause he's your first and only boyfriend." Bella whispered, but it failed horribly.

" I might be hurt, but I can still pound you." Emma said seeing her sister smirked. Renee chuckled moving some hair from Emma's face.

" Well, okay. We'll talk about it."

" Can someone get me water and Dad ?"

" Sure, I'll get dad. You get the water ?" Bella said seeing Renee nodded kissing her daughters cheek before leaving. Emma turned to Edward knowing he wasn't asleep and began to panic.

" What happened ? Where is James ? Are you okay ? Did You get hurt ?"

" We took care of him and the woman, Victoria, she ran off. Why on earth are you worried about me when your the one in the hospital ?"

" Because you mean everything to me." Emma said and looked up to him seeing he smiled and held her hand. She loved the feeling of his cold hand on her warm one.

" Same goes here, beautiful."

" I can't believe I'm alive because of you." Emma said with a sweet smile, but Edward did not. She dropped her smile looking a bit concern while he saw on her small little bed being careful of her leg." What ?"

" No, you're in here because of me. The worst part of it was...I thought I wasn't gonna be able to stop."

" But you did. That's what counts."

" Emma, you gotta go to Jacksonville, so I can't hurt you anymore. It's safer and you'll both love it."

" What ? No, no ! Are you on drugs ? After everything you would say that ?" Emma said a bit hurt seeing how much it made Edward cringe. She didn't care. A bit of her anger was coming out.

" Emma-"

" You really think after everything that we did, I can live in Florida ? Why are you pushing me away ? I can't just leave you."

" I know. Emma... I seen you in pain. I hate it. I can't be the reason for it again. I can't keep putting you in danger."

" We can't be apart and no matter what I'm always going to be in danger. With you or without you. How much you want to bet ? Don't leave me, please. Especially now when I need you. You promised-"

" I'm here." He said seeing how much it made her upset. He reached over holding her hand and squeezed it a bit.

" Don't be like everyone else in my life and leave me. You need to remember that I'm strong and I can handle things. I handled this right ? This was a bump in the road. It'll bring more bumps, but I don't care. I can sound so stupid right now, but if all of this means being with you. I'll take it. Just-" She said looking at him with sad, yet determined eyes." Don't leave me, here."

" Where else am I gonna go ?" Edward said and kissed her forehead. A knock came to the door, so they broke a part to see Lily walk in.

" Lily ?"

" Hey Em." Lily said with a bright smile and hugged her lightly, but strongly." I would have never wanted you to come to Arizona if it mean't you being seriously injured in a car wreck. It scared me half to death."

" It's not your fault at all. Just a freak accident." Emma said with a laugh before looking pass Lily and to Edward with a smirk. That boy might be the death of me, but I don't care. It'll be one glorious death.
