Chapter Sixty Four: Charlie Visits

𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟏𝟒𝐭𝐡, 𝟐𝟎𝟎𝟕

" These will irritate your eyes at first."

Alice was true to her words. I felt a burning sensation in my eyes and closed them quickly to try to subdue it. When I opened them back up, I cringed at how I was seeing things. With vampire eyes, it was like magnifier into every little detail. Now with contacts that matched my old ones, there were moments of a hazel glare in my vision because my eyes picked up the close details on the contacts. I turned to Bella seeing she was cringing as well.

" The main thing is not to move too fast." Carlisle advised.

Esme nodded by her side," Try taking a seat. Crossing your legs."

Bella was the first to get up looking to the chair across the room. In seconds, she was in the seat accidentally using vampire force and enough to almost slam the chair into the wall.

" Maybe a tad slower." Esme added with supportive Carlisle by her side not upset at the new dent in there wall.

" Okay." I breathed wandering how to do so.

With the new abilities, it was like my body buzzed to constantly go fast. Speed to everywhere I needed to go. The only time I didn't want to speed was when I had my girls in my arms. They might have been half vampires and could endure much more than a normal child, but I didn't want to risk that. Making mind tricks with myself, I pretended like I was holding one of the girls and walked over to the couch slowly before sitting down.

" How did you do that?" Bella marveled.

" Just pretend like you have Leo in your arms." I explained." Can't give a baby whiplash."

" That's very smart of you, Emma." Carlisle commented.

Alice perked up by his side," Oh! Don't forget blink at least three times a minute." She reminded and I did so not realizing I hadn't done that since I woke up." Good."

" For a cartoon character." Jake mumbled only for Bella to slap him in the back of the head and make Leo laugh in his lap.

" Hold your breath. It will help with the thirst." Carlisle suggested, but Edward quickly intervened.

" Just don't forget to move your shoulders so it looks like you're breathing."

" And don't sit so straight. Humans don't do that." Rosalie added.

There were so many things about being a vampire and being human that were so different. There were obvious's, but so much had changed that I didn't even notice.

" Okay. I got it." Bella muttered standing up a bit annoyed." Move around, blink, slouch, but what about the twins?"

" You know what ? I'll just lie to dad that I had sex before marriage." I said shrugging my shoulders knowing it wasn't a big deal." I mean it's not that bad, right ?"

Bella shrugged back," I did it." 

" You still got married." Jacob added.

" Yeah. I'll tell Dad I was 5 months at the wedding and this month the kids were in the ICU and turned out perfectly fine." I said knowing there were multiple cases of cryptic pregnancy or mother's not showing at all when pregnant." I mean it's not like he can kill me."

From around the room, everyone gave a soft laugh, but it stopped when we heard the sound of a car slowing down outside. I could hear everything coming. Dad turned the engine off taking a shaky breath. He then slowly opened the door almost afraid of what he would face, but his feet were quickly making there way towards the house.
