Kat's whole life's been about survival and nobody's better at it unfortunately. Real connections are few and far between which ends up with Kat trying to live and grow like a regular young adult with basically a new girl in every class. Til she walks in, the realest person Kat's ever met. They see each other like nothing else Kat's ever experienced. And Kat might give her space and not want to fuck it up with her but there's nothing that wouldn't be sacrificed for Chel. Far as Kat's concerned, it's just the two of them against the world, and they don't even know if the world out there still exists.

Far as Kat goes yes she's extremely gay but ofc you get to decide most of heir history and identity including Kat's gender shoot w Suki in Bad Batch and everything Kat might even have a prosthetic leg it's up to you!
Kat might be new to Rachel and Nora's school in NY and in her ho phase but even though they barely spoken to each other Kat's gone for her and when they finally really get to know each other on the island they're EXTREMELY soft and kinda moving slow -- w Rachel's dysmorphia especially
Also speaking of Nora bc it's fuck Helena I'm starting my recasting campaign I was thinking Shelby Simmons -- but she could also be Malaika Mosendane, Savannah Smith, Sisi Stringer -- also Lucy Fry could be Kat too!!
Also also the relationship between Nora and Kat's up to you too! She could be all in Kat's corner and encouraging and/or Kat could be her maladjusted self and jealous of the bond Nora's got w/ Rachel and super defensive of Rachel when it comes to that sisterly conflict
