Kit Harington as Maurice James
Everybody who's heard of him in the city assumes he's been fucking shit up for over a decade, but he'd spent the majority of his life feeling something breathing on the back of his neck, he'd barely lived before somebody high up deemed him too much of a threat to be walking around learning how to control his power. After almost a century, they wake him up but it's been so long he only remembers bits and pieces of what he was running from. His grand-niece's right there to help him readjust but before his first week in this new world's up, he's losing her during a brutal exorcism. He can't stay in his own personal slice of hell anymore so he takes his one lead and dips. Now he's in the States and everybody's just as untrustworthy as they were in Rome. He might be missing basic background knowledge on himself, putting him at a disadvantage, but he can still clock shady priests trying to use him for their own gain. Least he's got one ally though. If there's one thing he's positive of in his new world it's that he can trust Rose, if for no other reason than Rose being able to trust him is fact. He might not understand why this man's put faith in half the people he has and he might not understand what type of Beast's coming for himself, but there's no way any outside factors can stop him from being right there for the only person who means something
A LITTLE EXTRA : So yea some of my bias is bleeding through and into Maurice he does not like Sabrina or how she treats Ambrose and he stayworking to free him and get him out of Greendale b/c he can't stand what being in that house does to him -- y3ni part of it is jealousy of how close they are but part of it's just him recognizing how dangerous she is; how everybody feeding into her belief that the world revolves around her could end up with him ded and how unhealthy him being a part of her life instead him not having his own life (with him) is
And yea the Dark Lord is obsessed with Maurice for reasons unknownbe investigating that together and whatever Ambrose was doing in Vatican City back in the day with that Crowley dude does tie in or least have a lead
