She learned the hard way why nobody swims that deep. She was just trying to free herself from this rock at the bottom. And when she was just starting to lose consciousness up against it, added weight unwedges her and jolts her back. In return, she gets them to the surface and the shore. He deserves to get back home and he doesn't belong here, but she has her own community endangered by "civilization" that she's fighting for. She can't help him right now but showing him how she provides for her people and uses other pirates to protect them -- maybe he can learn how to win his battles.
LITTLE EXTRA : No idea how that rock works, but this travel here's more over space than time -- if you don't want her to be born and raised pirate from a maroon community, ofc she can be from the future (compared to him) she can travel through time while he travels through space but they do start out in Adjuntas or some other maroon community -- and yea there was a little inspiration from Black Sails here it's my fav period series
She could have a kid, she could be a virgin, etc anything about her personal/love life's up to you
This takes place before book 1/S1 so Jamie's about 21 yo, and if you want to continue on with the canon storyline + Irem if/when they get back, then go ahead!If you do go canon, then there's a lot that's different, their relationship's definitely different, e.g. she takes out Randall when he rapes Jamie
