He wasn't anywhere special when it happened, in fact he was lucky, he was already with his family, outside the Bay area and anywhere with more than 1,000 people, and with supplies -- but this is not the road trip they planned for. For one, he thought there'd be an end. When they made it to the Mojave, it felt like they found somewhere safe and secure, but they're far from the only survivors who came up with that idea. At the age of 16, Kelly learns nowhere's safe and how to bash in a human head with a bat. Some dicks from southern California "banish" them from the state and tell them at gunpoint to keep going til they hit corn, apparently that's where the real crazies posted up though. His mother's barely hanging on and by the time they make it to the mountains, despite finding a community with a doctor and everything, they have to bury her over 1,000 mi from home. He didn't think he'd be able to stay there as long as he did with those memories haunting him, but they did least up until the biggest herd they'd ever seen climbed up there. Now they're at a town called the Kingdom that's not on any maps from their old road trip, just trying to find a way to live -- Kelly gave up on trying to find a home what feels like forever ago

LITTLE EXTRA : It's a long time til we meet Cyndie, so you can write the timeline however you want y3ni like he could spend a year here, a year there, several in the Appalachian Mts, etc before S7 (or even S8) or he could meet Cyndie before we do
Didn't cast any family, but I guess his father's most likely to survive so Henry Cusick could be that
Side note but am I the only one freaking the fuck out Cyndie's one of the 4 leaders
Oh and I know nothing about the comics but I recently found out there's a character named Kelly (since I'm already way too excited about Connie) so like most of the OCs in here, the name's definitely negotiable
