Anderson Dawes raised her and taught her every way to fight for their people, including the most important; excelling in a vital field so Belters wouldn't have to rely on and outsource Inners' expertise. But every time she felt like it, Romeo could go to Tycho and train under Fred Johnson and with Camina Drummer. Most of the time she felt torn between them, but the one thing they agreed on is that she's the future of the Belt.
The past year, the Future of the Belt had been losing hope. Fucking around on Tycho station, intermittently completing projects on whichever asteroid needs help surviving, and dangerously close to accepting a invitation to talk with Marco Inaros -- til Dawes calls her back to Ceres telling her he has a assignment only she can handle. And when she meets her new partner, a Inner princess who smirks at her like she's ready to eat her up, and hears about the newest Earth conspiracy which might destroy the system, she knows he was right.
