She'd been working at the Pynk since she was 18. When she ended up there after leaving the mess behind back in the boot was the first and last time she ever left home and she hasn't looked back since -- least not literally. She has nightmares nearly every night and to keep her mind busy she barely does anything besides build up her savings. Except of course when she takes a plate of whatever she cooked that day down to the Chucalissa greyhound station every friday, looking at all the passengers and waiting for him to show up. Rene was the only real friend she ever had and they may have had their drama in school together, but they went through shit together nobody can imagine and he was the one there for her, the one who kept her safe every day and every night til they were separated and shipped off in separate directions. That last night of relative peace, they knew it was only a matter of time before soldiers found them and picked them up next so they made a plan so eventually they could find each other again. Dolia knew it might be a while --there were days she didn't even know if she would make it that was a long time ago though -- and it's been way longer than she expected. She's lived a lifetime and she's a whole different person. She lives next to a coworker in a house she owns for fucks sake. She even met somebody tonight and yea it might be somebody at the Pynk and a lot of folks have a problem keeping their eyes off her but not only were his different but her eyes were stuck too.
