                                                                          Jason Momoa as Peter

He knows loss, has his whole life. His attempts to partner with the British Empire for his own gain only destroyed him, or what was left of him after his baby died of fever and his wife abandoned him. Now, with his crew and ship, he fucks over the British Empire where and whenever he can, pretending to be whole. La Urca de Lima and the insult it poses to them almost makes him feel whole. What he sees in James Flint -- he's had those dreams, just never any hope or means of reaching them. Together, they can make this world how they like. He thought he knew who he was fighting back to back with but after rescuing him from his execution in Charles Town, he learns of another Peter and what that man took away from James. They're not the same man; one's fighting for a lost love, and the other's fighting for a new one.

LITTLE EXTRA : First things first about that GIF, fuck the speeches and the                                                                               fights, that might be my fav Flint moment, that laugh had me bawling

If you're not feeling Jason -- Idk how that's possible -- Naveen Andrews or Henry                                 Cusick could definitely work as Peter

Also I'm not writing out that finale ending with Thomas. I'm absolutely in the                                        Flint/Hamilton reunion camp, Silver's good but he can't lie to Madi like that

So they reunite but he's Flint's past now, he still loves him but at this point                                              (post-finale) it's more about rescuing this past love maybe there's some                                                    rekindling but Peter comes to bust him out and Flint realizes moved on,                                                    totally committed to Peter and their war
