Jessica's POV
"I'm sorry." He said. He gave me such a heartbroken face. How can I say no to him?
"It's okay." I pulled him in for a gentle hug. I always hated seeing him upset. I rubbed his back, trying to cheer him up. "It's just that I didn't know how to react correctly."
He gave me a smile, and hugged me one last time. I felt so safe in his arms. He walked out of my room, and he said something I missed hearing.
"I love you."
"I love you too, Lachlan."
I went underneath the covers of my bed, and I kept repeating those words in my mind.
I love you
I love you
I love you
I decided to go onto Twitter one last time, and a tweet from Lachlan caught my eye.
"@CraftBattleDuty: Finally got a weight lifted off my chest. Finally a night where I can go to sleep with a smile on my face. 😃❤"
I can't believe it. He actually cared so much about me. And I haven't noticed since now.
