Jessica's POV
I didn't bother trying to tug away. I continued to walk up the stairs, but Lachlan didn't let go of his grip. I can't get a break. Really heart? Really?
I walked to my desktop, and I faced the computer. I did not want him to see my face literally stained with tears. I hate people seeing me at my weakest.
"What is wrong with you?" Lachlan said, with that 'ooh gurrrl' tone.
"Why did you break up with me."
"You should know that by now."
"I care about you so much. You made a promise to me that you will not leave me." I teared up. "Why did you break that promise?"
"You should know the answer."
"What was wrong about me?"
I didn't hear a response from him.
The next thing I knew, I was lying on the floor, with a cold, sharp pain on my cheek.
