Jessica's POV
I stood frozen still with a blank expression on my face, barely accepting what she is trying to tell me.
"He's dated my older sister before. She's tried leaving him, but he grabbed a knife and held it close to her throat, and said she isn't leaving him. He only stayed with us for the money. Don't believe me? Look at his right palm. If there's a faded, straight line, that was from when he had the knife. My sister knocked it out of his hand, and he got a cut from it." She said, before her mother called her back to the car. I wanted to ask for her name and such, but she was obviously in a hurry.
I walked back into the diner, and sat down at the table where I joined Issac. We kept a conversation going, and I quickly glanced over at his right hand. I clean, straight, faded cut ran across it.
