Chapter 43: The Twin

Marsh Lahm's Point of View

Wala kaming ginawa ni Tita Hillary kundi magkwentuhan. We shared laughters and sorrow. Tsaka ko lang napagtanto na ang gaan sa pakiramdam kapag may nakakausap, she look lile she's strict but the truth is she's funny and approachable.

I learned that Kalev is really not into violin. Kinwento niya sa akin na way back he was a child, required sa pamilya nilang matutunan ang iba't-ibang instruments.

Siguro, ganon talaga ang mayayaman following some set of traditions and rules. I said to myself. "Since then, nakafocus lang ang attention niya sa pagaaral ng piano. He's natural playing piano it's like I molded him to become a pianist. Actively listening to his tutor. Do you know why?" She chuckled but I stay attentively.

"He said he doesn't want to hurt his fingers, callouses all over. But then, after a month, he's been acting strangely at doon ko lang nalaman na nagaaral na siyang mag violin. I asked him, but he answered he's bored." Another chuckle came from her mouth. "Imagine my shock when I heard him play once, but I'm happy with him. I'm so proud of my son. Both of you are so perfect. And I forgot to congratulate the two of you. The two of you won the competition."

"Did I heard it right? We won?" Tiningnan ako ni Tita Hillary na naguguluhan. "Yes, the MC called your name upstage but the two of you didn't show up. Pinapanood kayo ng buong mundo Marsh, as Xerxes Pennsylvania continued his speech." Hindi ko mapigilang tumili. "You didn't know?" The feelings is so overwhelming.

"Marsh." "Mom, we need to go."

Kakarating mo lang anak, why don't you stay first?" Sabi ng ginang.

"I talked to Alexander. He needs to observe him for two to three days before deciding kung kailangan ba niyang mag undergo sa operation. Don't overwork yourself Mom. He'll live." Kalev said strictly.

Ayaw mo ba siyang makita bago umalis? She misses you so much. Umalis lang siya to get some clothes. Kasama niya ang mga bodyguards niya in any minute paparating na siya."

I feel like I'm a outsider here. I'm not part of the family yet I'm listening to their personal concerns.

"Mom, please. Stop torturing me." Ako naman ay walang magawa kundi magpaalam and promised her that I will help her.
