"I want my hospital to be strictly rated PG." Kalev faked a cough at sabay kaming umiwas ng tingin.
"I see you two are together again. Congrats man, hindi ka na titira sa bar." You can't tell if Alexander is joking or not.
"You better work on your sense of humor." Kalev said at tsaka bumalik sa puwesto niya kanina which is sa tabi ko.
"Ano ba 'yung gusto mong sabihin sa aming dalawa, Alexander. If you don't mind?" I asked. Kasi kahit ako, gusto ko na rin malaman.
Sinarhan ni Alexander ang pinto at tsaka pumasok ng tuluyan aa loob. Inayos niya ang eyeglasses niya bago humarap sa aming dalawa ni Kalev.
Kalev on the other hand, nakapulupot ang kamay niya sa bewang ko na parang ayaw akong makawala. Geez. Hindi na ako tatakbo palayo.
"Kumuha ako ng sample blood ni Marsh and run a test. There's a reason why she's acting that way. I thought it was stress and anxiety or both but still there's a deeper reason. There's something in her blood—"
Humigpit ang hawak ni Kalev sa may bewang ko.
"Is she sick? Talk in English, please. I don't think I can follow." Medyo tense na sabi ni Kalev. Nagsimula na rin akong kabahan. What if I'm really sick? What if ako naman ang may sakit sa pus—
"Marsh is three weeks pregnant."
Wait, what?
Bigla akong napahawak sa may tummy ko. I can't believe it. There's a life residing inside my tummy. Is this for real?
"Wha—How...I mean wow." Kalev stutter at first, hindi maipinta ang mukha niya. Hindi ko alam kung natutuwa ba or hindi. Kinakabahan ako sa magiging reaction niya.
"Oh God. I'm going to be a father." He whispered na parang hindi makapaniwala.
"I'm going to be a father! Did you hear that Alexander? I am a freaking father now." Kalev shouted. He's so happy. Hindi ko na din maiwasan mapangite. I feel so secured and he accepted the baby right away, the feeling is so overwhelming. Sino naman magkakaakala na ganito ang magiging reaction niya.
Alexander rolled his eyes. "I know, motherfucker. I told you, remember?"
"Whatever." Bumaling naman sa akin si Kalev and hugged me tightly. "Thank you for bringing such a wonderful blessing. I promise I will take care of you and our unborn baby." He whispered kissing my lips tenderly.
"Stop eating Marsh's face in front of me, Kalev. Don't kiss in front of me." Rinig kong naiirita na pahayag ni Alexander. Pero mukhang walang naririnig si Kalev.
"I'm going to love you unconditionally and irrevocably." He muttered between our kisses. "I love you too, so darn much Kalev. The love is too powerful and I can't help myself but to fall in love with you deeply." He smiled at me, cupping my face.
"Can you listen first for a minute, please? Kung gusto niyo lang naman makinig." Alexander said with a hint of sarcasm. Hot blood rushes up to my cheeks. I forgot that Alexander is still in the room.
