Chapter XXX: Meet Austin
Marsh Lahm's Point Of View
"Wow. Just wow." Her stares makes me uncomfortable. What I mean is nakatayo ako at siya naman ay iniikutan ako.
"Ano ba Victoria Abbel! I don't know the title, though. Nandito sila penthouse ni Kalev. It's Sunday kaya wala akong trabaho ngayon.
Nagising na rin si Marco but Alexander told me he needs to check Marco's vitals bago siya idischarged. He's in his office dito sa penthouse.
Wala daw silang magawa kaya pumunta sila dito.
"I just can't believe it! Marunong magplay ng piano si Marsh. And they're into classical music! They are really meant for each other! They will be a lovely couple!" That's explains why she's overreacting.
"Trust me hindi ko din alam what's gotten in my head why I agreed."
"It's not a big deal, Tori." I said at naupo ako katabi ni Elizabeth at nanuod kahit hindi ko maintindihan ang takbo ng storya. Hindi ko kasi nasimulan.
"It is! Napaka big deal nito! This recital competition is always held every year. She said hysterically.
"Plus only people who has a power in the society ang iniimbitahan sumali dito. Elites and shits. They wanted to show their talents and also to feed their ego and pride."
"Laging nakakatanggap ng invitation si Kalev but he always declined. I become curious about this recital competition.
I don't want Kalev to be disappointed. Hindi ko pa siya nakikitang tumugtog gamit ang violin but I can feel it—na magaling talaga siya. Just like how he plays the piano.
"It's Sunday right? Fourth of the month?" Tanong ni Elizabeth—making sure.
"Yeah. What's the matter?" Tori asked looking at her cousin.
"There's a grand ball written here. 9P.M. Sunday, 4th of the month. Please come in a formal attire." Huh?
I passed out that time. May nakasulat nga doon in a calligraphy font.
"I think he knew about it." Tori said. I assumed she heard what I've said. "Nang dumating kasi kami ni Elizabeth dito he's reading the invitation while having a coffee. In fact, he's the one who left the invitation on the table." Tori and Elizabeth shared glances. Like talking—not with mouth but with eye contact. At tsaka parehong tumingin sa akin, mischievously.
