Chapter 55: The power of obsessive love

      Don't underestimate the power of obsessive love. There were times that you are willing to do everything to the person you love and being possessive at the same time. It isn't sweet. It is a destruction that one must avoid. Obsessive love keeps at bay underlying emotions; this includes grief, loneliness, anxiety, anger and emptiness. Nakakalungkot lang isipin na kaya mong sirain ang sarili mo dahil sa isang tao.

  "Hey, you okay?" Napaangat ang ulo ko just to see Kalev towering me with his height...again. Inabutan niya ako ng maiinom bago umupo sa tabi ko. We are here in the police station. After the incident inside the office, kaya naman pala missing in action si Elizabeth and Nikos because they call for the police. I won't stand back now. She must pay for all the consequences of her actions. Being less nice isn't bad at all.

"And if you're wondering why I didn't do anything to her when she started undressing herself, I need her to confess all her doings before putting her behind bars." Kalev said while holding my hand. Nakita ko ang singsing na binigay ko sa kanya. Talagang suot na niya ito and it fits to his finger perfectly.

"And I know you'll get mad at me if—" huminga muna siya ng malalim bago magsalita muli.

"If?" I asked.

"If I killed her and put the law in my own hand." I gaped at him, mouth opened.

"Bago ka pumasok, I'm already playing the gun using my right hand. I'm ready to shoot her. Well thanks to you baby, I didn't. I'd been tempted to grab my gun and point at her aimlessly." Kumunot bigla ang noo ko.

"Ano ka ba? Hindi mo kailangan gawin yun. At paano mo nalaman na si Gina ang may gawa ng lahat? All the threats and all?" I asked out of the blue.

"After the car incident? The car that almost hits you?" Tumango naman ako. Yun yung mga panahon na hinatid ko si Marco sa school niya.

"Yes, I remembered."

"I asked Nikos if he could checked the plate number and the rest is history. All we need is evidence to sue her. Hindi ko inaasahan na pupunta siya sa office ko and start blabbing about her shits. She made her own downfall. Ayokong nasasaktan ka ng ibang tao lalo na at magkakaanak na tayo." He worked his lips and gripped the cup of coffee lightly. My face heated up.

"I can't afford to lose you. I just love you so much that's why." He rubbed his nose and looked away from me. At dahil doon, I saw how his ears reddened. Such a cutie.

"You're always calm and collected. Minsan lang kitang makitang magalit." Sabi ko naman sa kanya at tsaka sumandal sa balikat niya.

"It's a waste of energy if I overacts." He said. Napailing na lang ako sa sinabi niya. Siguro, matagal pa lang ay sinanay na niya ang sarili niya na hindi magpakita ng emotions. Well, he did great. Geez. Bigla na lang pumasok sa isip ko si Gina and the proposal. I rubbed my temples using my fingers.

"Are you tired?" Agad niyang tanong sa akin.

"I guess." Everything is stressing me out.

"Mister Stanislaski?" Sabay kaming tumingin sa police officer na tumawag sa pangalan ni Kalev.

"Kailangan po namin ng signature mo bago po kayo umalis dito sa presinto." Tumayo kaming dalawa at tsaka sumunod sa police officer papuntang working station niya. Nakita ko agad si Nikos na may kausap na isang police officer.

When he saw us, bigla siyang nagpaalam sa kausap niya at tsaka lumapit sa aming dalawa ni Kalev.

"I made sure that she won't get away from this and she can't get a lawyer." Nagulat ako sa sinabi ni Nikos kay Kalev. But she has the right to have a lawyer, right? Nikos didn't seem to be affected at all. Napakaseryoso niya ngayon, gone the smiling Nikos. All I can say is they are really serious to their line of work and seems to be ruthless.
