a/n: another short chapter to read guys...i'm sorry. i'm still working on how to make it better. thanks to everyone who has been extremely patient with my updates.

She’s here…I can smell her delicious scent, that enticing scent that had me wondering who she is and how come I couldn’t find her. I have lived for centuries, seen a lot of women but not one of them has seduced me like this, has enchanted me if you would put it that way. I have no intention of finding a mate just like most of the vampires I’ve met. I was content in being alone…in not having anyone, not having any responsibility to a woman. A woman would cause my downfall for I know when I find her I wouldn’t be able to let her go, for I had her once and she was taken from me and I would not succumb to that loneliness and emptiness again. But this scent was different…it was so enticing and so delicious that I could only close my eyes and imagine how she looks like, and reach out my hand as if to touch her.

I looked out of my bedroom window making sure I stay out of the sunlight for I didn’t want to attract attention to any humans lurking around nearby, I wasn’t as showy as Aro or some of our coven members…I actually prefer the solitude I find in my room but for appearances sake my presence is always needed on what Aro would call the throne room and right now wont be one of this afternoons when I can read books or maybe close my eyes…as if I can do that for a second. Being a vampire was fun for the most part but sometimes the frustration of not being able to sleep or feel your heart can overcome the sheer power you get from it.

I walked back towards my desk intending to check a few things and to study a few papers left there earlier by Felix and I smiled as I saw the pictures he had also placed there. i have been wondering about Alec’s coming and goings lately…he hasn’t spent as much time as he had in the past few weeks in Voltera and that was what I found unsettling only to find out he has been in Forks again doing who knows what but as I look at the pictures Felix has gathered I found myself staring at a beautiful face…a woman who has her face looking up at the sky looking peaceful. From this angle one could mistake her as a fairy or if one would  have it one of their own…a vampire. Her dark hair was billowing in the wind, her eyes closed, her creamy white skin was in contrast to her dark hair, so looks like little Alec has found his mate. I moved to touch her face and what I would give if I had special powers like that of some vampires for I would want to know her name, to use her against Alec so I could control that bastard. I was about to check the coven’s finances when a knock from the door disturbed me, knowing it was Felix I simply told him to come in.

‘Aro’s calling for you, he’s being impatient about it.’ Felix told me as he opened my bedroom door ‘I see you’ve found the pictures…’

I absentmindedly nodded and looked at the pictures again ‘what can you tell me about the woman?’

‘from what I found out, she’s Isabella’s twin sister, Winter Rose, the alpha’s wife.’

‘what does Alec want from her?’

‘she’s also his mate…or so that brat believes. You’ll know more as soon as you go and see Aro, that girl is here…’ Felix said and added ‘let’s go, we don’t want Aro to throw another of his famous tantrums again.’

I nodded and closed my bedroom door before beginning that leisurely long walk I would make before reaching the room where everyone can see Aro sitting on his throne and basking in his glory that our coven has ruled over all the vampire covens for centuries now and it will always be that way. To others we might seem as evil but contrary to what they all think we have maintained a balance between our world and that of the humans…its our way of keeping our power in place while maintaining a good source for our sustenance and enjoyment. From where I was I could now hear Aro’s intimidating laugh as he was talking to someone inside his ‘kingdom’ I sighed as one of the guards opened the huge oak doors and I found myself reeling at that delicious scent that hit my nostrils…it was her scent, her enticing scent that has made me gone mad for quite a while now, before I could find the source of that scent Aro was now making his way towards me chuckling at my tardiness.

‘what were you doing brother? I have asked Felix to look for you.’ he asked

I nodded apologetically and looked at him ‘I was checking our finances…is there anything you would want to talk about?’

‘oh yes…as a matter of fact there is. Alec brought us a present…and no she isn’t food but she has this certain power that would make a good addition to our coven. Come and meet her.’ he said excitedly and led me towards where Alec and his companion were.

The minute he called Alec’s attention, the figure beside Alec turned to look at me and my eyes met her beautiful dark violet eyes that reminded me of my deceased wife as she looked at me with disdain and like a powerful push it hit me…she was the one I was looking for…her scent was the one that has enticed me for a while.

‘Winter?’

I whispered as she looked at me in surprise but shook her head in disdain and looked at Aro, I took that time to look at a grinning Alec as he was looking at what’s mine. I will be staking my claim on her as soon as I can catch her eye again…

She is mine…no one else’s and I’ll be damned if this brat would take her away from who she rightfully belongs to…nor would she ever find her way back to her alpha again. I walked towards her as soon Aro called for Alec and I smiled in gratitude. I looked at her expecting her to cower in fear but she didn’t, she looked at me and rolled her eyes…she was a beauty up close, and I couldn’t wait to claim her as mine…she didn’t have to agree, I’ll take her in any way I can.

‘you’re mine you hear me…mine.’

She scoffed and shook her head ‘I am never yours…and will never be yours Volturi.’
