"What do you want?" I asked finally looking back at him. "A proposal" he simply said as I rolled my eyes and crossed my arms so I can create some type of space between us.

I was sleep til I heard sterling crying I was about to get up but Y/N went to go get him. She was dressed and looked as if she was about to go somewhere.

"Where you about to go?" I asked sitting up "I was going to feed sterling then take him to the park and let you sleep in" she explained.
"I'll be down in a minute" I stated as she nodded I could tell something was up with her but I brushed it off somethings always wrong with her.
I got in the shower then got out getting dressed I finished doing my morning routine

then headed downstairs greeting the Dora Milaje and went to find Y/N in the kitchen giving sterling some cereal.
"You ready lil man" I said tickling him as he giggled. Y/N cracked a smile as I looked at her smiling. It was a quiet breakfast between Y/N and I but I left it alone.
We got to the park and surprisingly we were the only people there. I pushed sterling in the swing as Y/N was tickling him every time he came her way.
"You okay?" I asked as she looked at me "Yeah" she responded then placed on a fake smile. I took sterling out the swing and let him run around as Y/N and I sat on a bench watching him.
"So what's wrong?" I asked "I'm not-" she started off then sighed "I'm not running away from you I'm just trying to take everything in, I have a son now, I just lost my best friend and I'm not ready for parenthood what so ever she started off
" I'm scared one day he might get his head stuck in the railing of the stairs I don't know" she said as I chuckled and she giggled.
"You're not the only one who lost their best friend or who isn't ready for parenthood, as much as I say I want a kid I finally got one and I'm scared." I admitted.
"I have to burry my best friend I've known forever since kids someone who was supposed to be the best man at my wedding one day in a couple of days and I'm not ready but I have to be because now I'm taking on his responsibility and more" I explained.
"If you think you're in this by yourself you're not I'm right here next to you to help you" I said as a tear came from her eye and she hurried to wipe it.
"And if it makes you feel better I don't know what the hell I'm doing either" I stated as she giggled and I placed my arm over her shoulders bringing her in and kissing her head.
"We'll be fine" I assured her. "Yeah but Erik you got to promise me something" she said pulling away out our hug. "What?" I asked "stay out of trouble for real this time we're taking care of a kid now, you can't be risking shit when we got a kid to take care of" she explained as I listened.
"I know but if it means you two I can't promise that" I admitted as she sighed and covered her face. "Oh my gosh" she said into her hands.
"Don't you understand all I got is you?" She asked as I looked at her and she sighed in frustration. "Why are you upset now?" I asked "because I love you a-" she started off as we looked at each other.
She was about to say something but sterling cane up to us whining. "What's wrong baby?" She asked him as he held his arms up to get picked up.
She picked him up as he laid his head on her chest. "You sleepy?" She asked as he nodded. We stood up going back to the palace laying him in his crib as he slept peacefully.
I closed the door shut quietly then. motioned for Y/N to come to me. I grabbed her face about to kiss her but someone cleared their throat.
We turned our heads seeing T'Challa "welcome back Y/N" he said smiling as she smiled back. "Do you two want to discuss the funeral arrangements?" He asked as I looked down at Y/N.
"Yeah we got to do it sometime" Y/N said as we went with T'Challa talking about different things for the funeral and I could tell Y/N wasn't feeling it but she was trying to pull through it. We soon finished some of the arrangements and I would finish the rest tomorrow only because I know Y/N couldn't take it.
"Now where were we before We were interrupted by my big headed cousin?" I asked her as she giggled. "We were going to take sterling to the movies" she said before going up the stairs as I fought air and silently screamed "why?".
"Erik it's your turn to change him!" She yelled from upstairs as I ran up the marble stairs going into sterlings room seeing him standing up in his crib laughing as Y/N was playing with him.
"Come on lil man" I said picking him up as Y/N held her nose. "He's nice and stinky for you" she jokingly teased as I looked at her. "That's okay because we getting ice cream and he's all yours" I teased back and started changing him well at least trying to change him.
"The diaper is on backwards" she said as I got a bit frustrated. "Here look" Y/N stated taking the diaper from me and taking my place showing me as I watched her.
"Here like this" she said finishing off changing him then gave sterling a smile. I smiled at her as she looked at me. "Here think fast" she said throwing the closed poopy diaper at me as I caught it throwing it away.
I walked into the bathroom as she was washing her hands as dried hers I washed mine. "You obviously know what your doing" I said with a chuckle.
"Nah it says which is the front and which is back on the diaper...dummy" she said before sticking her tongue out at me and turning the light out in the bathroom walking out.
