"Holy shit!!!!" I scream in mute. Yes, that's a thing. "Brittney wake up" I run to the couch "hmmm.." she moves a bit. "Shawn just asked me out!!!" I whisper in excitement. Her eyes opened like crazy and she looks at me "for real?" She asks "yes!!!! Omg we are going to a party tonight" I whisper and I sort of scream at the same time. Holy shit. Is this real?!
All day long Brittney and I we're looking for the perfect outfit that I could wear to work but also wear at the party. We went over to her house to look for something there too.

It looks really good, at least I think it looks really good.
At 5:45 I make sure that I'm ready before work. I take my purse and my phone, a charger and some headphones. Just incase.
And I go to the café.
The time flies by so fast that's it's already 10 pm.
At 10:05 I get a text from Shawn "waiting for you outside" my heart.. oh my god! I'm so excited!!! "Coming" I text him back. I go to the bathroom I pee before we go so I won't embarrass myself at the party by having to pee. I make sure my makeup is on point and I go outside.
Shawn is looking GOOD. I see him from the corner of my eye in Lucas's car in the Parking lot. I'm trying to stay calm, and I go in the car.
What to do? To kiss him on the cheek to give him a weird hug that you give when you're at the car with someone? I'm really nervous and I'm starting to freak out a bit.
"Hey" He says smiling at me as I walked in the car and sat down . Ok so I guess no hugging or kissing. "Hi" I say. I'm super nervous and I feel sick, in a good way. I think...
"You ready?" He asks. "Yeah" I say. This is awkward. Why is this so awkward?
I put the seatbelt on and We start driving. He turns the radio on and From this moment it became less awkward.
We started to sing and to laugh. It was fun.
We got to this weird place. I don't think I have ever been here before. We parked the car and we walk in. It looked strange and I don't know I didn't like it so much.
We walked in and it was so dark it was actually scary.
"SURPRISE" holy shit what just happened? the lights went on and I see a lot of my family members and some old friends from high school.
That scared me. There is confetti and balloons everywhere. I'm confused. The music is very loud and everyone is dancing.
"Happy birthday" Shawn yells.
"Shawn my birthday is in 3 days" I yell back. I can barely hear my own voice.
"Yeah but if we would've done it at your actual birthday it would've been less surprising.." he yells to me. True. This was unexpected. I am really surprised to be honest. I had no idea. But I'm kind of disappointed as well. I thought Shawn wanted to go out with me. I'm sad it was all a plan to get me here. I really looked forward for this night.
"Why are you so upset?" Shawn yells.
"I'm not. Thank you for the birthday party" I yell and I walk away to the bar. That's a weird think to yell.
"Can I have a glass of water please" I ask.
"Uh no thanks. 2 shots please" Shawn yells.
"Shawn What are you doing? I don't want to drink. I'm not feeling so well" I say to him. We are closer now so I don't have to yell to hear my own words and thoughts.
"It's not to drink it's a shot. And I don't get it.. you look like something happened. What happened?" He asks.
"Nothing happened. I'm just not feeling so good. Excuse me" I say. I go out side and I seat on the street.

"What?" Brittney says coming outside sitting next to me. Why is she so mad? What did I do?!
"What is up with you?" I ask "I'm not feeling well why can't you just come be with me!? Why did I have to beg you to come outside?" I ask
"Wow.... B relax. Jeez. I was with Eric. We were dancing. What happened with you? I thought you would like this surprise.." She says
"Well I don't know what happened. I'm just not feeling so good." I say. I don't know why, I mean I do know, I think. But I started to cry.
"What the fuck just happened?!" She asks
"I don't know, I thought Shawn wanted to go out with me. And well, I guess this was all a plan. He never actually wanted to go out. It was all for my stupid birthday." I say. I'm starting to really cry. And I know this might be stupid that I'm crying over this but I really looked forward for this night.
"Look, Shawn just wanted to make you happy At your birthday, so what?! if he didn't want to go out with you?! Just be happy he is even here, and at your freaking birthday party. Sometimes you are so... weird." She says.
"Ok whatever.. I want to go home. I'm not feeling well." I say.
"What? You want to go home?" Shawn says standing behind me with the 2 shots.
